Predict The Score Week 2!

Well TexanSam just sent me the message that I won last week.

My prediction last week was Texans 24-7 I believe . :doot:

So let me start off by saying...I will ALWAYS predict us winning :texflag: and heres my prediction for next week.

21-16 Texans win...hopefully I'll be making these threads all year :wild:

Leading Rushers
Car- Seriously after this week...Foster-48 yds
Hou- Green 95 yds

Hey guys, I am sorry I forgot the tie breaking rules.

Please edit in the leading rushers for each team.

I was reminded when Cabbage matched Khari's pick. Sorry new to this :gun:

87.4 yards ? :um:

Texans-27
Panthers-14

Our offense is a little more cohesive. Matt Schaub is a little more comfortable. Our defense allows two TD's, but plays a good game overall.

28-17 Panthers. Going on the road proves to be too much as Delhome finds Steve Smith for a late score to ice it. Man I hope I'm wrong.

I think your score was 24-3. Something like that...anywho congratulations!

Texas 23
Panthers 20

Leading rusher: Ahman Green 93 yards

Hey, shouldn't I have won last week? I predicted 21-7 for Texans, it wasn't in the "predict the score" thread though. Oh well.

I say 24-14 Texans this week.

well y'all have taken all the scores i like, so i won't repeat any.

70-0 Texans are victorious.

TD's by Andre(Rec. from Schaub), Schaub(pass from Jacoby), Jacoby (Return and Rec. from Schaub), Daniels (Rec. from Schaub), Mathis (Return), Ahman (Rushing), Mario (FF from sack on Delhomme, recovers fumble himself, returned for TD), Dunta (Int. Return), and Demeco (Int. Ret).

EDIT: Media response- 'Panthers play poorly, Texans still suck on D'

Heh lol, kinda funny because one of the guys on a ESPN show where they talked about Defensive players of the week goes "They are giving them presents..." I guess we just can't win in their eyes.

I think this is a much closer game.

Texans 31
Chiefs 27

Leading Rusher is Green with 85 (133 all-purpose yardage)

Foster leads the Panthers in rushing with 62

Two picks for this game one by Dunta & one by Greenwood. Special teams shows up big this game with one return for a TD. Leading tackler is Ryans with lucky 13. Mario gets credited with 1.5 sacks. We get a FG with few minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Panthers get the ball back & make a push for a TD, but come up short.

Texans 13
Panthers 10

Both defenses can stop both offenses. I predict a low scoring, frustrating game.

I stated in another thread that we would win 20-17. Schaub leads a game winning drive as Kris Brown hits a 30yd field goal for the win. I know he gets flak, but the atmosphere is changing around here.

Easy on the Red White and Blue Koolaid guys. It's your right to be optimistic but I thought at least some Texans fans would look at this game objectively.
Panthers 20
Texans 6

Foster 60 yards
Williams 45 yards

Green 70 yards

17-14 Texans

Might be a boring game, with some mistakes on both sides of the ball for each team.

But, Schaub and the ground game take control. Brown kicks a 43-yarder at the end of regulation, for the win.

If this was last year at this time, you would have seen a lot of people being a lot more pessimistic. Hell, last year this time, we had just lost to the Eagles and we were going up to Indy to play the Colts.

But this team is a lot better than anyone who hasn't closely followed the team realizes.

Texans 16
Panthers 14

Offense gets us close enough for Brown to kick some through. Jacoby breaks off a return for a TD. Delhomme hooks up with Steve Smith as our D bends but doesn't melt down.:d:

Oh, and Carr leaves early to be home with family.

A. Green - 57 yards rushing
S. Smith - 71 yards rushing on an end around (not a reverse, an end around)

Gritty, nasty game with lots of hits and stress. I anticipate a few more grey hairs by the time this one is over.

I'm probably going to be just really really drunk by the time we go into the 4th quarter.

Texans 14
Panthers 13

Green - 69 yards rushing 25 yards receiving with 5 receptions and 1 catching TD

Jacoby runs in a punt to seal the win and the defense comes up huge with stops in the 4th quarter.

I'm going 14-10, Texans win a close one. I think it's gonna be a hard scoring game and the Panters are going to be stingy in the red zone.

Green: 75 yards
Schaub: 18-29 220 yards 1 td 0 picks

This is the feel good thread of the week!

Come on. Seriously. Did you expect it to be anything but?

We think we can stop your running game. You can probably stop ours or at least keep it in control.

We think we can get to Delhomme and keep him from getting to Smith. We think that we can move the ball in the air on your D.

We think our special teams will be special.

We're Texans fans.

You're a Carolina fan. Of course you're going to think that your offense is going to tear us to pieces and your defense is going to stuff us.
