As some of you are aware of, I have strong ties to the City of Greensburg. Since the tornado that devastated my 'adopted hometown', the Chiefs' organization has gone out of it's way to help the Greensburg School and their football program get back to some kind of normal. I wanted to share this with you, so perhaps we might share our thanks with them--their fans--when they visit our board.
Thanks allot folks, and also thanks for those of you who went to the Chiefs board and took up for one of OUR own over on their board. When it's all said and done, most people are just people. They are someone's brother...sister...son...or daughter. No harm's ever meant, but sometimes we never see the harm unless we see it with our own eyes. Just like the tragedy at Greensburg. It's just pictures and words till you witness it with your own eyes. That same can be said in how we interact with people on these boards. Just typed words, with no evidence of how it affects those we type them to.
Now let's get to enjoying an awesome year of Texans Football together! We've waited long enough!
The Chiefs weren’t about to let their neighbors feel as though they are taking on this monumental task themselves. Instead, the Red and Gold has rallied around Greensburg’s football team as a way to further instill school pride that had begun to erode away. When the Chiefs arrived for training camp late last month, the entire organization did so wearing special Chiefs edition Greensburg Rangers caps. The purpose initially was to show the community that the Chiefs had not forgot their plight. However, demand for the caps was so high that the team has decided to sell the remaining supply via kcchiefs.com. All the proceeds from these hat sales will go to support the Rangers team."
Also, Mods can we keep this in this forum till after the game? Just for the sake of the KC fans that come over here. Thanks allot!

"While the Greensburg Rangers football squad must take to a foreign field game after game, they will do so as their own team. Simply having the opportunity to maintain their team name and keep that spirit of community alive is enough to make them smile through the pain they’ve had to endure.
