Carr and the Panthers on NFL network right now

Figured some might want to see how he plays with another team. Either validate or debunk their past arguments.

you can't really tell much from watching him play with the scrubs in the 4th and most meaningless exhibition game....most of us know him for what he is...a good practice player who looks good when nothing is on the table or there is no pressure....but throw in some stress and he falls apart and turns into Jerry Lewis.

Ah.....I just saw it was on and posted. I didn't know which game it was. Makes sense why he's starting then...ha ha

Well, it's football so I may watch it anyway. Bad football is better than no football...ha ha

David always played well in the pre-season. Personally, I think he will be a starter with the Panthers by the end of this season.

But that's just me.

I think you may be right about that, but the real question is will he be a quality starter? And I think most of us know the answer to that.

Panthers used up all their timeouts in the first quarter. The "big play" the announcers talk about was an underthrown ball by Carr that Jarrett made a play on to complete the pass.

Boring game.

anyone think carr wil take over as starter anytime this season?

Unless Delhomme faulters out of the gate or the offense doesn't look in sync like it did at times last year. I don't think David will see anything but scrub time. Out of the gates last year they were missing Steve Smith who really makes that team go, they'll have a healthy DeAngelo Williams to start the season and i think Jarrett will make an early impact on this team.Out of the four seasons he's been at the helm there last year was his first down year and i still attribute that to some injury problems on his throwing hand.

But hey whatever, i know some people on this board don't care they'd rather see legit proof that David just plain sucked and in part justify our release of what the nation pegged as a human pinata instead of just a QB who didn't have the mental game or coaching to boot.I'm sure the same people had he gone to Seattle would be calling for him to start over Hasselbeck.

It would be great if it happened in week 2, but I am fairly sure that wont happen.
yea i agree, this is bad but i hope jake gets injured week one or he does so horrible that he is benched, lol i wonder how bad our D wants to sack and knock the cr** out of carr.

pray that Carr somehow ends up on the field Week 2. Nothing would make me happier than to see that little girl get his comeupance once and for all.

i hope the guy gets a chance to play, continues to be a complete failure as a QB, and then is unceremoniously dumped like the piece of trash he is.

I'm hoping for a slight ankle sprain for Jake Delhomme in week 1. Nothing major, but just enough to keep him out for a week.

They ought to start Carr against the Texans for one important reason........revenue sharing..............There wouldn't be one open seat in the stadium........With the pregame hype, I can see the pregame novelties alone sold specifically for this meeting would allow most of us to retire..........................Maybe inflatable hemorrhoid pillows for a softer landing...........periscopes for Carr to be able to see the field from the ground......white gloves with a tube of Super Glue.........sunglasses with a heads up digital display of the game clock.....................maybe even helmets with horse blinder attachments ...........

Please visit this link. When you do, move your cursor over Carr. But better yet feel free to CLICK on each of his receivers.............memories.......memories..........

I think so too. I think he'll be a decent QB--not a probowler, but a solid game manager who can help his team win at times.

See, that is something that he has never been able to do. I don't understand why people say these type of things. He could never manage a game. In my mind it was his biggest fault. He would hurt the Texans with fumbles, sacks for big losses, or interceptions almost every game. The only thing that David Carr was successful at was throwing the deep ball...and that was either because of AJ or because Bradford (in the earlier days) would outrun corners. Oh and he ran the ball farely well at times.

If Carr starts ... what does Kubiak say to Richard Smith ?

Pressure often and from different angles.

Just because something hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't.

The Panthers think he will be so good, that they picked up another QB - Matt Moore (Dallas)and put him on the active roster - not the practive squad

I'm glad we've moved past the David Carr "era" and appear to have corrected the situation but honestly, I'll never begin to understand the animosity. I just can't wrap my head around it.
