Just like Greg Favors is too small to play DE and Jerome McDougal is too small for DE, just like Cato June is too small to play Linebacker and D.J. Williams was too small to play Linebacker.

Babin is a year removed from DE, he only lost 6 lbs from college. Now having some linebacker experience he now has more gas in his tank and gives him more energy.

Peek and Babin would be awesome DEs. I would make them DEs again...
 
Babin had 20 more tackles and only one less sack than Favors, and 40 more and 4 more sacks than McDougle. I guess if you want to say he could be a below average DE....

I'd be surprised if Babin is carrying around the 259 listed in the media book, but I could be wrong.

Human, Peek and Babin were undersized DE's in college for teams that played against weaker comp!! Both these guys would get blown up consistently in the 4-3, but not only that, get worn down! The 3-4 is a great defense to play win they are done aggressively. If you look at Baltimore, San Diego, Pittsburgh...aka....Blitzburgh, you have to bring it. The problem is the Texans are playing the 3-4 like a 4-3, relying on their down-rushers to get pressure on the passer. You have to bring multiple looks to disrupt the QB. If not, you get what we got this season.......Blown up! :hmmm:
 
I think the 3-4 is great in general and in particular I'm glad the Texans run
the scheme. Anybody who thinks the 3-4 has something to do with us being
underachievers is looking on the wrong side of the line of scrimmage.
