Texans: O-Line fails, Green gets injured, and Dre is just a #2 calibre guy

All others - guys w/ break out seasons

WTF?

Houston Texans Matt Schaub shows it wasn't all David Carr's fault. The Texans continue to fail to protect the quarterback, and the offense remains in a funk. Losing Ahman Green to injury before November also doesn't help. Andre Johnson remains the lone Texan to stow on your team, and he's "just" a No. 2.

Indianapolis Colts Joseph Addai will outscore former Colts backs Edgerrin James and Dominic Rhodes combined. Most owners will agree that Addai is in for a breakout season, but they might not realize how tough it will be for Addai to make good on my prediction. James had 173 points last year, and Rhodes had 119. If they both produced at that level again, Addai would need 292 points to match them. Only three backs hit that mark last year.

Jacksonville Jaguars Byron Leftwich has his best season and stays healthy. Yes, the two are related. Despite Leftwich's play, Matt Jones doesn't take the step forward that many fantasy owners would like to see from him. He remains a fantasy bench player instead of rising to starter status.

Tennessee Titans Eric Moulds shows he isn't washed up. After catching 57 passes for 557 yards and one score in his only season with the Texans, Moulds gets back to numbers

I tend to think a little higher of a pro-bowler who is "just a number 2." Predicting that the line will not fare better than last year or that Green will be injured aren't exactly bold predictions.

What interests me is what is not discussed. The media is centered around the Texans' general malaise when it comes to offense. But the Texans' strong point is defense. Bigger (and more likely to impact the season) questions are whether Mario will rebound from a lukewarm rookie season, whether Demeco will hit a sophomore slump, and how the new guy on the line (Okoye) will do.

He's talking about fantasy football. He's not saying Andre is a #2 receiver, but a #2 on your fantasy team........... which at this point, thats what Andre is.

By number 2, he's referring to fantasy value... based on AJ's scoring last year, it's not that far from the truth, if any.
Until proven differently, these fantasy hacks won't upgrade any of our players.
It's nice and safe for them to just take the path of least resistance and go with the perception of the team instead of making any educated assessment...
The guy predicts an injury... that ought to tell you how based in reality his forecast is... not very...

I was a little confused. He was talking about fantasy values, but the title doesn't indicate that....

You can tell, because all he's talking about is QBs, WRs, and RBs ........ all fantasy players. No mention of defenses and such. Even though the Jags D wouln't be a bad defense to pick up in the fantasy world.

I get that it's a FF thing but what pisses me off is that they say Johnson is a #2 and then say how Mouldes is the sh#%. 57 catches and all of a sudden he's a guy that you can build a team around. WTF

another writer who will never own up to writing this crap once the Texans begin winning.

why so much hack journalism these days?

FF is all about situations. And Moulds could fit very nicely into the Titans offense. He's got good hands and at this point is good at finding space. Is he better than AJ? No way. But as a FF player he really isn't that far off. FF is a different beat entirely though. Because he doesn't have blazing speed he probably won't see double teams like AJ will which could mean alot of balls being thrown his way.

I'm kind of confused here. . . Did we lose Ahman Green? Matt Schaub has been getting man handled ? I thought it was one hit by Babin. Lastly A.J. is only a #2? Did anyone else see him make it to the probowl?

We had this exact discussion yesterday. Its a fantasy football site, predicting fantasy football years.

AJ is only a #2 or maybe even #3 in most fantasy leagues because he doesnt record a lot of TDs

see what happens when you get your sports info from a site named "yahoo"? You get some ole YA-Hoo's opinion.

They picked us to go to the playoffs in 2005. They may be holding some sort of grudge since the Texans held out the whole year in 2005 for the CBA deal.
