Thanks for your support!

With all this negativity, I'd just like to say...

Congratulations on a good season this year Houston. Each game, you put your heart on the line and went full force and did things I never thought you could. You learned what teamwork was all about when you faced adversity and you have learned more great lessons this year that can be overcome.

I know by tommorow, I'm going to miss this team and everything about them. We may never see Seth Payne again, J.J. Moses, Jonathon Wells, and many others, and I just want to pay my respect for this team for making my days worth something.

With that said, I can't wait for August and a new season.

Thank you,

Matt

though it was a tough loss today. Might have been the best thing, though; otherwise, the Texans would think they are "all that" and we know better.

Go Texans. LOVE YA!!!!! :jumpbanan

Although it was a cruddy ending to the season, I feel there are some very good things to look forward to.

Dunta Robinson. Remember how many people wanted the Texans to trade away the kitchen sink to get Sean Taylor? He wasn't bad, but Dunta is going to be a great cover corner. As the season wore on teams started attacking the pro-bowler instead of the rookie.

Jason Babin and Antwan Peek. I mention these 2 together, because I think if they can get more time together they will be a force. They both have tremendous motors and know how to get pressure on the QB. Both are still learning, but I think they will be great OLBs for the Texans.

Glenn Earl. I personally like him as a SS. He's physical and just over a year removed from a knee injury. With Robinson he will help give the Texans a good backfield for years to come.

Domanick Davis. He struggled early with fumbles, but was the horse the Texans needed for most of the season. He ended up with career highs in TDs and yards.

Andre Johnson. Pro Bowl in his 2nd year. Early #s very comparable to other great WRs. That's not to assume he will end up his career as good as them, but he has the attitude and ability to be one of the great ones.

Charley Casserly. He has found some great talent in the drafts. I am glad I don't have to read about arrests and altercations each week. These players are professional and keep their noses clean.

David Carr. I can think of only a handful of QBs I would rather have and only one of them has a SuperBowl victory (Brady). He's a competitor that is just as frustrated by the inconsistant play as anyone. He is progressing and changing QBs every 3 years isn't a formula for winning.

Draft day is only 4 months away. Time to discuss the newest member of the Texans.

I know alot of people wanted playoffs in year 3, but with the dedication the team has made to primarily building through the draft and expansion draft, its not the most realistic timetable to think we can just buy a team, and most draft picks take time to mature.

Short of finishing the season at .500 we did everything to shed the label of expansion team, and it should be a term that should dissapear from our lexicon and should just be used to talk about future francises in LA or where ever.

David Carr set Career highs in Passing yards, touchdown passes, completions, completion percentage, Quarterback rating, and rushing yards. Over 3500 passing yards, 60% completion percentage, 80+ QB rating. All pretty good numbers. He was 16th in NFL in QB rating, 3rd in rushing yards for a QB, and 11th in yards. not bad for playing behind a bad offensive line.

Domanick Davis Career highs in yards, touchdowns, receptions, and reciving yards. back to back 1000 yards rushing seasons. over 3000 yards from scrimmage in first 2 years.

Andre Johnson umm probowl. don't need to say anything else.

Dunta Robinson and Jason Babin 2 first round picks that look like winners. Robinson should give us our second rookie of the year award in as many years.

4-2 in the Division. Nice way to start 'taking care of business' in the AFC South division and probably shooting for a playoff spot next year.

13 Quarters without letting an opposing team score a TD by the Texans Defense. Best run in the NFL currently. And that includes the last 3 quarters against the Colts in the year with Manning setting the Passing TD RECORD for the year.

7-9 record for the year against one of the NFL's toughest schedules. Not bad and most prognosticators made that prediction at the beginning of the season as a very GOOD year and acceptable growth with the Texans as a team unit.

Good building year to launch our legit move at a playoff spot next season.

Happy Birthday Bob McNair. It was a fun year. Glad the NFL is in Houston.

Bummer day though.

Ah, 7-9. Right where I figured we'd be at the end of the year. But not the way I expected.

Three back to back wins
Sweep of Titans and Jacksonville
Toe to toe with some of the best
Played dead for some of the worst.

Ditto on a great season TEXANS and their fans. Having such a heated board just means we care. Happy B-day Mr. McNair - you're WORLDS better than a previous owner that was here.

That was just sadness ripping out the last parking pass and tickets this morning.

Casserly and draft crew - do your part in finding new Battle Red players to make us that much better for next year.

Capers and coaching crew - hit the films and playbooks to make the Steel Blue so much deeper next year.

TEXANS - look at yourself in the mirror - did you give your all? Put that Liberty White training into full effect this offseason to come back stronger, faster, better.

The fans are ready, are you?

Thanks Team. It was such a rollercoaster ride season it should be a ride at Astroworld. Happy birthday Mr. Mcnair! Glad ya brought us this team.

Great year Texans.
In spite of today's heart breaking loss; you reached many milestones in franchise history, and a few as well in the Div, League, and Overall NFL.
Plenty to work on for next year but plenty to be proud of for this past year.
Let's not forget that this division is one of the toughest.
2 team sweeps is sweet, including a shut out. 13 quarters w/o allowing a TD, surpassing the previous at 12, and a 4-2 in the div. Awesome!
Would be nice if someone has the time to put together all the milestones this Texans team has achieved as a team and by individuals. For the new kid on the block...it ain't bad at all.
This was my first year with psl season tix and had a blast...I am definately looking forward to next year. Hopefully we will be looking at play-offs from the inside.
Go CARR and team, you've made us proud! Thanks! :headbang:

No. 1 with us. We are with you all the way. Great posts with all the whining in the other ones. I can't wait til August either. :bguitar:

And amen, they were great:)

I agree with it all. I just wanna send a big "F you" to all the fans that were at the game and boo'd when Carr came back in. I was sitting in my seat probably the only one still left in my section and was confused at all the boos. sorry i just had to vent. :)

I predicted them to go 6-10 this season. 2 new guys at positions on the o-line, new offensive blocking scheme. A host of new players at positions on the defense, 2 rookies in the 3-4, etc. 7-9 is not bad for all that newness. NExt expectations will fall nothing short of a winning season.
