Pacman just hit another strip club

If this was indeed him.... buh bye. A guy like that deserves a life in prison...much less the perks of playing in the NFL.

i agree, if it's true he's just going to have to put himself on house arrest b/c every time he leaves somewhere, he's linked to some trouble.
 
yep.. if the story is indeed true then Pac doesn't really deserve to continue playing football.. but notice the if.

this sure isn't the first time Pac's name has come up after a shooting. I really doubt anyone can be that stupid.
 
If this is true Pacman might have upgraded his suspension to 1.5-2 years. Goodell is looking for step changes in Pacman and going to a stripclub really isn't the kind of changes The Commish wants to see.

These guys don't roll like that. this isn't the mafia man. I'm sure he may have an idea of who pulled the trigger in his entourage, but it doesn't happen like that. These entourage people think that the celebrity status of whomever it is they're rolling with extends to them & when someone like you or i doesn't give it to them....... crap like this happens.

I've seen it happen a dozen & 1 times in clubs & functions i used to frequent when i was younger. If he cares about playing in the NFL any, he needs to change the people he runs with.. period. that might help him change his ways a little faster if he's trying to change at all. If it were me, i'd just have to "sell out" & do what i needed to do to keep my career alive.

"Burrows said witnesses at Club Blaze, a Moreland Avenue strip club, have told police Jones was at the club and that he and his entourage were involved in an argument at about 4:15 a.m. with a group of three men. The argument concerned a dancer at the club, police said.

If I were the Dekalb County Police, I'd like to see the activity on PacMan's cell phone after he left the club- outgoing and incoming calls.

The "I'm going to go get a gun" line just bought him another year off from the NFL.

But this is all academic. He is getting a year minimum in the Georgia Department of Corrections for the stuff he pulled in Fayette County with the Police Officer.
 
When will this guy figure it out ? ..... When someone puts some lead in his ass before Pacman and his cronies have a chance to do it to them . He'll either be dead or injured to the point that there wont be a job in the NFL for him ....

Back in the day, it used to be that you tried to get out of the ghetto and you would try and bring your family and friends out with you if you 'made it'. Now it seems that the trend is to bring the ghetto with you and mire yourself in it regardless of consequence or common sense.

i hear ya man. one thing is for certain, it's not meant as an insult or jab. it's just an honest personal observation about what I feel is a significant problem within the black community and American culture in general.

i feel the same way that TRUE African-American heroes such as Bill Cosby, Quincy Jones, Colin Powell, and even the vilified Jesse Jackson feel. I will leave the pandering and rationalizations to the likes of Russell Simmons. Until education and a sense of self-worth hold more value than gunplay and street cred, there will continue to be PacMan-like stories in the news.

On a positive side, I think that the hiphop community is starting to take strides in the right direction. hopefully narcissistic artists like 50Cent or The Game start to move aside for more positive artists like Talib Kwali, Mos Def, and Kanye West. I am all for good club songs but writing songs about Bentleys, Bling, and Bitches just seems to be repetitive, self-destructive, and something that probably isn't in the best interests of the African-American community and at the end of the day, America.

yup. and then at the same time glorifying material possessions that are out of reach of 99.9999 percent of the population (Bentleys, Mansions, and Private Jets) only compounds the problem. People can't relate to lifes like that and eventually it will hopefully become played out and there will be more substance.

i do think that things are changing, albeit slowly. some of the vanguards of the hiphop community are starting to hold a mirror up to this injustice in order to show the hypocrisy within. Kanye, Nas, KRS-One, and Rakim have a track that pretty much should be the blueprint of future hiphop. 'Better than I ever been' i think is the name. Its a track about true respect, knowledge, achievement, and positivity....maybe one day that type of track will be hipper than some of the garbage that is peddled nowadays.

I agree for the most part, but it doesn't start with hip hop & it sure as hell shouldn't end with it either. The ultimate role model, (the parents) need to help their kids understand that 1: it's just music & 2, 99.999999999 of all these so-called "gangster" rappers are fake.

If you are often in a precarious position, hire a licensed, professional bodyguard. A bodyguard costs a hell of a lot less than an entourage.

totally agree. i was just showing that there have been some positive signs coming out of the hiphop community that a sea change could be coming.

music is an important part of every community, but I would say that hiphop music has had as big an effect on it's community-at-large than any other music in modern times. why does the effect have to be 99% negative and counterproductive? why not pen music that could breed activism, education, and empowerment without being labeled wack, 'sell out', or lame?

as a musician, I just have strong opinions on hiphop's responsibility to its community. i am pretty much an indie rock connoisseur who is pretty much a music snob, but I try and keep up with whats going on in other genres and hiphop has made me sad for a long time...since the salad days of Tribe Called Quest, DeLaSoul, Rakim, and EPMD. sorry to have brought this into a PacMan thread. I just think in some way its all connected.
 
I'm listening to an Atlanta Sports Talk Radio Station at work...http://www.680thefan.com/ Their streaming audio has alot more information.

According to them the Dekalb County authorities have a APB out for PacMan because witness said he started the fight that led to the shooting.

Both his agent and lawyer don't know where he is, havent spoken to him since earlier this morning.

PacMan is probably sleeping off his party from last night... if the party ever stopped...

If he is stupid enough to be involved, he really doen't deserve to be playing in the league at all.
I really doubt the commish will be put under pressure for suspending him indefinetley if he is provedn to be involved. You can't help but wonder how many fans would stand by him if he is involved. I for one would be fed up of this and really wouldn't be too depressed if he is suspended despite his talent.

Haygood then told an off-duty Clayton County deputy of the run-in with Jones, the report said.

The officer, according to the report, told police he heard Jones say, "I'm going to the car to get my gun," :cowboy1: which prompted the officer to ask Jones and his security detail to leave.

Jones drove off in a black Cadillac Escalade. Another man known as "Slugga" drove away in a black Pontiac Grand Prix and a third man took off in a green Dodge Charger, the report said.

Haygood left in his Toyota Sequoya and was waiting at a red light on northbound Moreland Avenue preparing to get on eastbound I-285 when shots rang out. He ducked and returned fire with his Glock 23.40-caliber handgun, the report said. :cowboy1:
