Canada Eh
my boy jacoby jones a houston texan... my prayers were answered, its crazy

my bad for the useless post, lol, im real excited right now

He sounds young and inexperienced, will he even be able to start right away? I don't think he will even be a factor this year (except special teams), and that dissapoints me, we need help now!

he'll show yall in trainin camp, you'll see.... hes gonna tear it up out there...

Has very small hands, but worked hard to use his long arms and utilizes a finger-grab technique to secure the ball (lets the ball into his fingers rather than the palm of his hand) … Shows good urgency to separate on short routes, but sometimes gets turned trying to look the ball in over his outside shoulder on deep throws … Needs to maintain position and shoot his hands quicker when asked to block along the line … His small hands and lapse in concentration have led to several costly fumbles in recent years (eight of nine fumbles recovered by the opposition) and he needs to secure the ball better before turning up field.
He’s definitely a project with a lot of up side. Jerry Rice use to help his dad lay bricks in the summer growing up. Hint, hint.

If he is as good and fast as written, even if he only plays special teams this year, he could still be a big factor.

Field position isn't anything to sneeze at - and a few fast runbacks for a touchdown could be waay cool.

If he works as hard this season as he did before his senior year, he might surprise us all. I'm optimistic about JJ.

most receivers dont run with the ball tightly secure so if Jones is even a little more aware of that I'm not worried about him getting stripped, at least not anymore then i am with anyone else.

Some may feel that JJ in the third was reaching, but Kubes obviously likes him a lot and if he is "their man" then you take him there if he wont be available when you pick later.

While this guy might not be a starting WR this year, I like what I've read about him. If he does nothing more than add some excitement to the kick offs and punts, then he's worth it IMO.

After watching his highlights and his body-type in some clips...coupled with his return skills....I feel much better about this pick. I like the look of this kid, and I like the way he moves.

I think that they took a calculated risk on Jones .

He may not have been as safe a pick as say Jason Hill but I think the Texans believe he can be really good .

I say heck with it ... they paddled to the middle of the lake when they took Schaub ... there's no use in turning back now . :cowboy1:

I can't find any clips on him. Do you have any links?

Grumble..... Grumble, not happy about this.

dont worry yankee.. he'll show you in trainin camp, and you'll be so happy, and will remember what im sayin to you right now, and you'll be like you know dunta23 you were right, lol.... but dont worry fellas hes gonna make everyone real proud

Don't hold back, were did you find the highlights of this guy? I can't find it anywhere.

I like the pick. In the Shrine game he stood out as a WR and to myself I said "Man, he'd be a nice pick in the 4th." but we got him in the 3rd.

I am positive he will be starting before the season ends, also developing alongside Andre Johnson.

I thought we had more pressing needs (o-line, coverage), but I'm not unhappy with this pick if he helps us consistently get better field position.
