I <3 y'all.

To pass my offseason boredom, I thought I'd start following the AFL (I'm at UT, after all). So I went to a Wranglers game today.

The game itself was freaking awesome. The AFL's kinda cool. But the FANS.................:bat:

I am SOOOO SICK and F*&#ing tired of people yelling at me to sit down and be quiet. WE'RE AT A FREAKING FOOTBALL GAME!!!

Which woulda been fine and all, but that the USHERS got involved? What the !?!?!?!?! I was just up and dancing around in the aisles after a big third down stop and then an usher comes and tells me to stay in my seat or else he's going to come back down with a policeman to escort me off because people were complaining. Once again, Wha?!?!?!?!?!

So, in conclusion. I love all you real fans, and I love the Bullpen. Thank y'all for being so, well, awesome. :doot:

Uh, I guess that was my point. Thanks for listening. :texflag:

That ain't right! They can't expect a tea party atmosphere at a freakin' football game! This policy actually might be against our state consitution. We should get a lawyer to check it out sometime. :hmmm:

I can think of a couple! I think ONE of them is a MOD!!:texflag:

My only question is (and I ask this strictly out of curiosity, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone or making accusations) "Were you drunk?"

If you had too much to drink and you're making a general arse out of yourself (and I'm not saying that you were, just speaking hypothetical here) then I can see the fans around you or ushers asking you to chill out or else.

Now, since you weren't drunk I'm going to say that their "Sit down and enjoy the game in silence" policy sucks. Sometimes we wonder what's going on in the NFL with all the weird rules but this just takes the cake. I wonder if it's across the board around the AFL or if you just happened to be sitting around some really bad spectators (won't dignify them with the word "fan")

Were you soooooooo drunk that you'd inadvertantly crashed a poetry reading?!! :doot:

If you were actually at an AFL game then the reaction of other fans is....well, sad.

I used to watch the AFL on NASN - tres cool! I also hear that EA games have bought the rights to the AFL....how cool would a madden-esque AFL game be!

Just the opposite at AFL2 games. :fans:

I've never been to a LIVE AFL game, but, I have watched some games on TV. They look like a rowdy bunch of fans to me, most of the time. Maybe you just had the unfortunate luck to be around a few bench warmers.

In the BULLPEN, if anyone tells me to sit down I just give them a pleasant smile and tell them to call an usher!! If the usher gives me a bad time (never has) I WOULD just tell him to go tell his BOSS that he told someone in the BULLPEN to sit down! Chain of command type of thing. By the time everyone gets involved and hashes it all out, the game is over and we're on to a new day!!:doot: and I'm still standing!!!:fans:

Oooh. Nicely done. I must think of that next time. Thanks!

Yeah Ensign, make that run down 290 and hit an AF2 game. Doc & I almost got waxed by CC's fullback last night. I guess we may have offended him?

Next home game is Mothers Day at 3:00pm.

Doc works hard to make it a good time and can probably scrounge a few extra tix if anyone here wants to give it a try. His parking lot gourmet grub is worth the trip.

Wish I had known there was a game last night. I was in the Katy area most of the weekend and would have LOVED to see a game!!

BTW: off topic too!! All you Katy dwellers have my undying sympathy for having to deal with all the construction on I-10. What a NIGHTMARE!!!! I got so aggrivated I just came home to dear old Stink-a-dena!! Never thought I would be so happy to see refinery row!!lol

That is funny. I hear that alot but its been going on so long I am just use to it.

Try taking 45 mins+ to get from Katy to the Beltway on the new Westpark Toll Road....daily. Their idea to relieve congestion is to raise the toll!

Conroe has a new AFL team, I went to their first game last weekend. It was great the Storm won 54 - 0. Wish we could see the Texans do something like this, even half that score.

Hey man I was there in the endzone behind the nets , we had a group of 8 of us and it was a blast, rowdy too but nothing like the Bullpen. Oh and it was an waesome win the Wranglers needed it, and it was fun seeing D Lewis get some action, our ex Texan dude!:cowboy1:

Dude. We totally have to go to that next game together. It'd be fun not being by myself standing up and jumping around. The next one's in the beginning of may, right before finals kick in, right?
