Matt Jones vs. Drew Bennett

Jones is a guy that you will have to have a specific idea of what you want to do with, but then have patience with. He has more slashlike ability than Bennett. To me I would have him has a special packages guy while he learned the WR position or if I thought he could be an athletic Qb while I waited on him to develop.

how about ILB? :hmmm:

No, one of the critiques of him is that he is too laid back which is not a good thing for a linebacker or TE/h-back for the matter.

I wasn't serious about LB, but I do think that a 6'6" 240 lb wr that has the football sense of a QB and can run a 4.4 would be a welcome addition to any young offensive squad
as far as too "laid back" goes, drew bennett doesn't come across as the fiercest guy on the field, and he seems to get the job done

I did not think you were serious, but the 'straight' answer was already on my mind and I saw an excuse to type it. Laid back is probably fine for a WR. If I trusted Palmer to be creative with the guy i would like him for the texans late in the draft, but there that "if"

The WORST thing a team could do would be try to make him a TE.

Everyone knows the guys got incredible speed, and he's also a PF on the Hogs hoops team. That means solid hands.

I've always said that former QBs make some of the best WRs because they have an understand of the timing of routes and what a QB wants out of a WR in his route.

See Hines Ward, Antwan Randle El, James Banks of UTenn, Drew Bennett, the list could go on and on.
