Trade Rumors

Someone on the other board posted that NE was thinking of trading its top 2 firsts to us to secure Willis ahead of the 49ers.
What do you think>?

Yeah IF and I do mean IF that happens I jump on that trade in a heartbeat.
I take Revis 24 and then Ryan Kalil 28. We know improve our secondary and shore up the weakest position of the Oline. If we can get Jason Allen in the third we would have added the following:

1. Starting CB/FS
2. Starting Center
3. Starting QB
4. Starting WR opposite AJ

Thats pretty damn good from where I sit(And I am not referring to my signature) :)
 
Listening to several of the draft gurus around the nation most tend to think that there are about 18 players with a true first round grade, and if the Texans are to trade dwon then I hope they stay above that line. Now if NE offers both it's first and a 2nd next year (or a 3rd/4th this year) I'd sereiouly think about saying yes, but that's a high price to pay for a LB. Even if they've fallen in love with him.

I think our best bets for trade dwons are with Buffalo, as they hop over SF to get the player they want, or with Green Bay as the try to hop over everybody else.
 
agreed Hoth i think those two are both our best bets at trade downs. I think the best oppurtunity though is if Peterson falls to us at ten. Unless it's someone later in first round i don't expect more then a 3rd for it. But a second third rounder could secure us a second WR and line help, maybe Satelle(sp) or Moses. Some might whine about not getting the hype machine RB but..... when TC comes along and they see we're better as a team for trading down. I think they'll be on board. The more i am looking at things, a trade down could be a stronger possibility then i orginally thought.

I do doubt NE pulls the trigger on that and i doubt it would be both firsts. maybe a combination of a first and later picksor this and next year's second....dreaming yes. But hey if NE is making a trade it's dreaming in the first place IMO . But yeah i'd jump on either of those deals :D

Not trying to rain on your parade... and your sig does look nice :) but eventually Vinny will contact you about changing your sig to meet the accepted parameters.
 
I don't think NE makes this trade but will humor it.

I'm with awtysst on this....

There are definitly some picks I want to make but I gotta plan for long term.

28 needs to be on Ryan Kalil. We need him at C...neeeed him.

24. I'm not so sure on..I'd look at Reggie Nelson, Aaron Ross, Dwayne Bowe, Dwayne Jarrett, Joe Staley,...etc. some guys may not be there but those that do have a good chance i think I may take Aaron Ross.

It'd be awesome if we could trade that 24 down a little more and get Dwayne Jarrett who's been dropping.
 
If we could lock up Reggie Nelson with 24, and Ryan Kalil at 28, and then a WR with our 3rd round it would be one of the best drafts in Texans history (at least without knowing how the players turn out)

I could see Pittsburgh, Green Bay, and maybe Denver trading up with us. New England doesn't trade up too often and are most likely content staying where they are and using their picks wisely as usual. I could see Pitt trading up for a guy like Levi Brown, Carriker, or Willis. I could see Green Bay trading up for Lynch (I doubt Morency is really the answer at RB). Lastly, I could see Denver trading up for a guy like Anderson, Branch, or maybe Nelson.
 
East Coast sports today is speculating we trade down with Denver and pick up both of their #3's in the process. I would make that deal in a heartbeat, but it doesn't appear to be anything more than an educated guess and/or speculation on the Author's part.

Yeah, I think something happened in the move that caused it to get so big. For now I will go with a link until I get some time(or help) converting the image to a sig friendly design.
