yes...first step in getting a playoff is on the way...we don't need like a basketball playoff...with a bracket and everything...we just need the plus one system i think...have everyone play the bowls like usual...and then have a plus one system just in case something like this year or last year happens again

I think it is a good thing that AP is out of the BCS. The main problem with the BCS is having a component based on the media voting. Since when should it be a popularity contest. Here's a surprise ... the media likes L.A.(USC) better than Norman, OK (Oklahoma) or Baton Rouge (LSU). It help :hmmm: s their television ratings when L.A., or N.Y. is involved. Hopefully, a playoff will come, but I'm glad the 'cocktail circuit' guys are out.

By the way, remember that the BCS, with all it's flaws, was set up to give #1 and chance to play #2. In years when there are more than two undefeated teams there will be different opinions about the top teams (particularly when the media has an economic bias in favour of some regions), but at least we get to see Oklahoma vs. USC. Before BCS, USC would play in the Rose, Oklahoma in the Orange and Auburn in the Sugar. How was that better?

Last year, the media types voted USC #1, even though they took the BCS money and LSU beat Oklahoma, the team that others selected for them to play in the National Championship game. I don't remember USC saying they wanted to return the huge BCS pay day, only that they wanted to be called Champions without having played the game for it. It will be interesting to see if USC says that Auburn should be Co-Champions if they beat Oklahoma.
