With the 2nd pick of the NFL Draft The Detroit Lions select WR, Calvin Johnson.

With the 4th pick in the 2007 NFL draft, Tampa Bay selects Joe Thomas OT Wisconsin.

ps. mods can you move this to college and draft discussion forum please?

With the 6th pick the the 2007 draft the Washington Redskins pick DE Jamaal Anderson from the university of Arkansas.

With the 7th pick in the 2007 NFL draft the Minnessota Vikings select.....Brady Quinn...QB...notre dame....

12th Overall--Buffalo selects Leon Hall (CB), University of Michigan
They solidify their secondary for years to come with the selection of Hall. Nate Clements left, but the team acted a year early and at least secured the safety position with Donte Whitner and Ko Simpson.

wondering the same thing, carriker over nelson? intersting.
unless you want to count on Babin to provide that rush on the other side, Carriker would be a solid pick. I still see trade down, Levi Brown, or maybe the rising Leon Hall as the more likely possibilities.

not knocking carikker, i just thing the secondary needs way more help than the dline and nelson would have a bigger impact than carriker. i think you can find a solid DE in the later rounds to.

i agree the the secondary needs more help, but i dont think the team will take a safety unless there is a trade down. nelson might be more ideal towards the middle of the round. it would fill a need, and net us another pick.

but you can find almost any position later on. the Texans need depth everywhere. i would be OK with nelson, just not at #10.

the Texans have to take a corner. you know why? other than straight up need? Dunta Robinson tests free agency in two years looking for his payday :money:

Dunta is a great player and can be a playmaker but at times kinda dissapears from games. I don't think his payday will be as much as he thinks it will be if he doesn't have more seasons like his rookie season.

Ross ahead of Houston and Revis? I hope it's not just because VY said he was good.

Tennessee is up not the Giants.

No, not just VY...but because he is rated higher:

Ross#2 CB, Revis #3, Houston #7

Thats from Street & Smith not me. I picked the top CB on the board by S&S. And due to his size to play with bigger WR's

the Texans have to take a corner. you know why? other than straight up need? Dunta Robinson tests free agency in two years looking for his payday :money:

That's what I've been thinking for awhile now. Every time he gets in front of the mirophone and he's telling his tale, I see "Bolt" written all over the guys face.

I can see why y'all stalled . which DE are you gonna take here ? That's why I said If Smith is true to his words...this is our trading partner. They want a prime DE, they got to move up.

21 Denver....Criss Houston DB Arkansas.

Ouch. Somebody fix this.

13. St. Louis: Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh -- There was a lot of debate on the Rams' pick this weekend by club executives studying this every day. Last week it was Leon Hall, but when Revis turned in a 4.39 40-yard dash with his size, they switch.

The New England Patriots are on the clock.

With the 24th pick, the New England Patriots select...Darrelle Revis CB Pitt (a steal imo)

yes could be the steal of the draft. Been a while since they've had a frontline cover corner. Ya know the beauty of a 3-4 is that you don't have to reach on playmaking LBs... those tweener guys are all over the board. Every round, all day long. I'll believe a LB pick in the first by the stealers when I see it.

well I guess we ran out of steam.

24 New England (from Seattle): Derrel Reevis, CB, Pittsburg

25 New York Jets: Alan Branch, DT, Michigan

26 Philadelphia

27 New Orleans

28 New England

29 Baltimore

30 San Diego

31 Chicago
