i dont know much about him, can anyone fill me in on this guy? how much is he looking for, if he would fit in, if we can even afford him, etc. he's listed on the seahawks depth chart as their FS, but ESPN has him listed at SS. what gives?

I can tell you that he is a hard hitting safety that plays with a mean streak. Has play making ability.

He also got his head split open with a street sign outside of a bar after the Houston game. When his head healed back it didn't even leave a scar.
 
i read somewhere can't remember where that had us linked as a possible location for him at the beginning of FA...but he has yet to be brought in for an interview and i don't know of any plans to do so

as far as him as a player...he's probably not in the same class as ed reed or brian dawkins but probably the next level down when he's completely healthy...had a great come back year this year after his head injury last year
 
Something must be up with Hamlin b/c no one other than the Saints have talked to him.

He won't be back with Seattle, they just signed Grant from the Jags.

The only thing I can figure is the Texans have not upgraded the FS position or the CB position.

I would speculate that would be the area that we address through the draft.
 
he really isn't that much of a cover guy...but he's a upgrade to what we have now at FS in brown...i still believe our best option is to bring in a guy to play FS and let brown and earl battle it out for the SS position...then have the other be the main back-up to both the FS and the SS position during the season
 
He would be good for you guys. I think your organization should pursue him if the asking price is reasonable. Not a great cover guy, but he makes plays and hits hard.
 
Do u guys think it would be a good idea to sign him and have him play SS and then draft landry to play FS. (Sorry if it sounds dumb)

He doesn't fit our scheme. He is a hard hitting guy that doesn't fit the FS mode, that he can cover. Plus I heard the number 10 mil yesterday. He probably won't get it but he is trying to jump on this overinflated market.
