Texans Question

Why don't the Texans let Ron Dayne rush more often, at 245-Lbs. even Jammal Lewis had a 2,000 yard season not saying that Dayne is the next one on the list. But, looking at his Yards per Carry, it would be nice to have two 1,000+ yard rushing RBs.

Here is what I hope the Texans offense looks like considering all players come back healthy...

Left Tackle: Jordan Black

Left Guard: Chester Pitts

Center: Lets Get Ryan Kalil???

Right Guard: Fred Weary/or Charles Spencer

Right Tackle: Eric Winston

TE: Owen Daniels/Mark Bruner

QB: David Carr

FB: Vonta Leach/Jammel Cook for passing plays

RB: Ahman Greene/Ron Dayne

Also, whats up with Travis Johnson, can he make a comeback? And is Jason babin a bust?

Is Sam Baker (USC) in the draft?

sam baker will be in next years draft not this one. him, jake long, and jared gaither are the stud LT's next year that i'm looking for us to take possibly.

I would love for us to get ryan kalil, he's my favorite for our 2nd round choice and would even be willing to give up a 2nd day pick to move up for him.

i like you're offensive line up. what about WR? i know andre but not a #2. i hope we sign leach. your line up is something that could actually happen.

i don't know about travis johnson. hopefully with the FA dt we got and mario getting better, and more practice..TJ can finally come onto his own...that's wishful thinking on my part but hopefully he gets a fire lit in his belly and starts contributing like he should.

i think babin right now is still our back up. he will always be a bust untill he starts and contributes signicicantly. i see him as being back up while he's in houston.

i like how our team is coming together..i think we will have a good season next year.

I think Jordan Black was signed more as an insurance policy in case Spencer has problems coming back. I hope he won't be a long term answer at LT unless he plays alot better than what he did at KC. Of course, maybe the Texans saw something in him that they feel he can be developed to fit their scheme, but I'm just not sold on him yet. He's still young and could develop, but I hear his footwork (speed) is not good for a LT. We'll see.

As for Sam Baker, he decided to go back to USC for his senior year. BTW, I like your pick of Kalil at Center. JMHO!

Isn't everyone tired of going into every...single...draft looking to draft an offensive lineman or two? For god's sake let's just fix it this season and move on. Ali had Charles Spencer at guard. If you remember correctly, Dom liked to move guys all around the line so long as he had the best 5 out there. As we found out the hard way, that's not the way to go. You need unit chemistry out there, not the best 5 you can find.
