They was talking about domanick williams and him having some sort of more troubles.I am at work and I had the volume down on the tv couldn't hear.

This isn't anything new. Rick Smith noted a setback in his press-conference a week ago when they signed Green.

I saw it. They basically said what we know. He has a set back with his knee and his career is most likely over...

I can't remeber where I heard it but, I seem to remember DD/W needed another surgey and his comback was over

Like some other posters have said, they just announced
1. He needs more surgery
2. that his injury was pretty much the same as the one that ended Terrel Davis' career
3. that all his cartilage is gone
4. he's got a bone on bone when he runs
5. his career is probably over

Pretty much stuff we've been talking about.

well...if AP is still availbe, i'd like to take him and have a lundy/AP combo, that would be nice. i would love to have landry though, that would drastically improve our pass defense.

Well that isnt that suprising, DW making a successful comeback would be difficult, but Cold Pizza is a joke and i trust half there "inside reports" as far as i can throw them.

The woman announcer, I forgot her name, said that the TITANS were worried about Dominick Williams knee. I thought it was funny.

got NEW commercial for ESPN's "Cold Pizza"...when it positively, absolutely has to be REDUNDANT!!!!..try Cold Pizza...want that bit of news people in China knew 2 days ago...try Cold Pizza. Cold Pizza we are still talking about Patriots winning Super Bowl in 2003:joker:

give them some credit SB07, they are talking about Vinatieri's game winning FG against Carolina in '04...get your years right!

NFL players (hereinafter called 'Employees') are protected by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (hereinafter called 'The Agreement') that is negotiated with the teams (hereinafter called 'The Company').

Forgive me....I used to manage a union shop and I had to know our "Blue Book" upside down and inside out. I was also on the other side - that's where I started -- but I can't say that I have too many fond memories of my dealings with Unions -- but that's another debate for another time.

Anyway, there are rules governing Injury Protection and Injury Grievance in the CBA - in part to protect the players, but also to protect the league from players going off willy nilly with lawsuits.

A player's official status when released due to injury is typically designated as "Waived Injured." The player would have to pass another team's physical before being able to have that status changed to "Active." But I don't think there's many cases (or even if it's allowed) where a player receiving an injury settlement from one team pops up on another team's roster a year later. Most of the time when these injury settlements occur, that's the last we hear from that player.
