Pacman Jones

Texas

Veteran
The Titans are trying to trade him for something...Maybe just maybe if we dont get rid of carr soon and dont get any offers we can trade Carr and a 7th Rd pick for Pacman...We really need a cb and id be willing to take my chances with him~

Not even a remote chance.

The Titans, I would assume, have no interest in Carr. Vince is their starter...and they arent' going to pay Carr $5 mill a year just to be a back up. I also don't think this franchise has an interest in Pacman in the least bit. If the titans are getting rid of him because of his off field issues there is no way the texans will take him. He is an incredible athlete though..i'll be glad if he leaves the afc south...or we at least stop punting to him.

Bob Mcnair is now visiting the Ant-Pacman website and sharing his opinions. That is how bad I know Pacman won't ever come here.

This of course is a sarcastic way of saying Pacman will not come to Houston. For those who are about to go the website.

Its impossible for Pacman to come to Houston when he is doing 3-5 years in prison for assualting a Georgia cop. His trial was reset to May....

we might as well go bail mo clarett and lawrence phillips out of the slam. i cant believe people are suggesting this.

oh good lord...has it come to this? The offseason is too long and the fans are too wack when we are making threads wanting pacman jones.

pacman makes dunta robinson look like bryant gumbel. have you seen that video from the nopacman (the petition) website?!?!. i am all for staying true to your roots and not forgetting your friends and 'keeping it real' but PacMan and his friends have simply proved themselves to be a criminal. It's as simple as that and its not up for debate. it doesnt matter if its his fault, his friends fault, society's fault. it just doesnt matter. Bottom line is that you can not have a criminal like that on your team irregardless of how exceptional he is on the football field.

I can't see him going anywhere. The NFL should just do PacMan, the Titans, and the rest of the league a favor, and just ban him for a season. Have the Titans pay his salary to a Women's Shelter or inner city mentor program. After the ban, he would then be the Titans property and they could resign him or trade him as they see fit. I just dont think the NFL needs PacMan. It's as easy as that. They should use PacMan to send a message to the league that its a privilege to play in the NFL and not a God given right.

(thanks to The Dave Chappelle Show for the Bryant Gumble blast)

Titanics would have to give me draft picks just to take Pacman and it would have to be a bunch of them.

lol. i can see it on ESPN. And the Tennessee titans have given the Houston Texans their 2nd round pick and PacMan Jones... {waiting for the other half...but it never comes} {ESPN analysts are confused..all hell breaks loose on the set and Woody goes back to cold pizza.}

Carr and a 7th? Are you insane?

You do know that Pac-Man is the next Deion Sanders. The guy can do it all. Except behave.

He's a shutdown corner, a great punt returner, and plays a little offense.

Without looking at any other posts in this thread I think you might be alone in being willing to take your chances with him.

Now let me go look and see......

Yep, I was right. Nobody in here is interested in the guy or willing to take a chance on him. Sure the Titan fan thinks he has value (unless he's being sarcastic) but then you would expect them to want some return on their teams bad investment.

We want somebody stupid enough to send us a first day pick for David Carr but it's not like that's about to happen. Pacman is in the same boat for completely different reasons. Nobody in their right mind wants to touch him.

I don't give a crap how talented the guy is. I don't want his ass on the Texans. Not the way he acts. Not how he embarrases his family, his friends, and his teammates. The guy should be walking up and down a cell not making plays on the football field. He doesn't deserve to play football. First he needs to get a serious lesson on how to be a human being.

This is an outstanding first post. . .welcome to the message board

This guy is a :joker:

OK let me get this straight. You think he has no value as merely a player on the field? If you think PacMan has no value (as a football player) then you have no clue what you are talking about.

If we released PacMan today he'd be signed in under 10 minutes.

Nope, he's another Lawrence Phillips.

This coming from a Texan fan. If anyone should know how good PacMan is, it's a Texans fan. I think he scored more TDs against you guys than anyone. Denial maybe?
You are aware of all of his "trouble," right? They call him Rain Man for a reason...

He'll be shutting down all those WR's on the prison yard football team. Burt Reynolds doesn't stand a chance passing against Pac Man.

Some things go beyond "can he play". Pacman goes beyond a problem player, he is a criminal, and no amount of big play potential makes that OK.

I HATE that some on this board and in this city think that the fact that the Houston Texans dont harbor criminals or give them millions of dollars makes us (as a team and as fans) weak. In the NFL winning is everything. but i'm sure Lombardi could not have imagined someone like pacman playing in his league. Assaulting women and POLICE OFFICERS????

Thankfully Mr Mcnair seems to feel the same way. And the Houston Texans are better off that way. A few more wins is not worth this teams dignity. We'll get to be a winning team eventually, and it will be sweeter for knowing that the Texans are a TEAM worth cheering, and a TEAM who deserves it.
