Crazy Scenario..not gonna happen though..

What if we traded all of our second day picks and our second rounder next year to move back into the 14 - 18 range in the first round??? Would that even be possible???

We can take LaRon Landry(turn him into a SS) and Reggie Nelson(keep as a FS) !!!! Having two dominant Safties would spark this defense like crazy!!!

In our second round we can get a guy like Ryan Kalil or Tony Ugoh...

And in the third draft KEVIN KOLB!!!!

I would be more than happy with this...i now its sounds crazy i just got really bored and the scenario came to me, so for fun i thought i would share it.

If we could make that trade I probably would...but I wouldn't choose both safeties.

I'd probably take something along the lines of Laron Landry and Adam Carriker/Levi Brown.

Our 4th,5th,6th, and 7th round picks are combined worth only a 3rd round pick. I would keep all our second day picks instead of a 3rd...but if we got offered and mid first round we might jump onto that.

I think....nah i was goingto respond to that then just....had visions of the Saints and the Ricky Trade. You should be embarrased for even posting this.

IF this were to happen, you would need to sign a good vet to teach two ROOKIES a thing or two. As awesome as it sounds, the key word is them being rookies. In the beginning I wouldn't want BOTH of them there because I feel that our opponents would spot them and start going deep. But 2-3 years down the road..../drool

here's a crazy scenario that isn't gonna happen but i'll be the first to suggest it.

When is Ted Ginn Jr. going to be drafted...and CAN he slip to the 2nd round???

Before you jump on me and say i'm stupid...hear me out (and i doubt he falls).

Wide Receivers:
Calvin Johnson
Dwayne Jarrett
Robert Meachem
Dwayne Bowe
Sidney Rice
Ted Ginn Jr. 178 lbs.

There are 6 guys that can potentially go in the 1st round or high 2nd round. Ginn hasn't ran any because of his ankle injury in the nat'l champ. The thing that I think really helps him is his return skills, so teams will like that...but some of the other guys are bigger, can block better, Ginn just has the speed.

Here is what nfldraftscout says about his weaknesses:
Does not have the type of ideal bulk you would prefer...Will struggle to beat the jam, avoids contact and isn't very physical...Needs to get stronger...Still very raw and will need to work on mastering the nuances of the position...He's not a great route runner...Is not overly elusive and makes people miss with his speed rather than moves...Isn't much of a blocker...Has too many drops...Not a true #1 target.

Ginn and Mathis would be scary to kick to. I see CJ, Jarrett, and Meachem going before Ginn...but where will he fall? Tennessee? Jax, NE, ???

or would a team in the 2nd definitly pick him before us...

what is scary is suggesting we use our 2nd round pick to bolster our KICK RETURN game.....

we need a #2 WR and since him and mathis are basically twins i see no point in it.

lol....I hear you big time...but he'd also be scary next to Andre imo. hey some used to say to get him as our 1st round pick...or if we trade down a few spots take him in the 1st...

Or we can do a draft like this after a trade down with Buffalo; we swap is rounder and get there 3rd. resulting in a draft like this:
#12 Levi Brown OT
#39 Chris Houston CB
#73 Samson Satele OG/OC
#74 Jason Hill WR
#92 John Wendling SS/OLB
#103 Sabby Piscitelli FS

#134 John Beck QB
#168 Paul Soliai DT
#199 Dallas Sartz OLB

That would give you two strong Safeties + CB + WR + QB + DT+ OLB

That's not a bad one pain killer. Only nit pick would be to swap John Wendling and Satele. I count three and a half starters and two challangeing for a spot by '08.
