Rudy Sylvan, a 6'4" 285lb TE from Ohio has caught the eye of the Texans, as well as some other teams who are looking to convert him to tackle. ran a 4.77 at his pro day, put up 33 reps on the bench, 9'8" in the broad and a 34.5" vertical. all very good.

one of those guys you look at in the second day. good athlete, good blocker, could fit very well in Houston's offense as a converted tackle.

I like the idea, but I feel a little wary of taking a project tackle. I remember the previous administration used to tout the "projects" and they never quite panned out. Where would you take this guy and do you think the Texans should go after a project or try to find some reasonable depth at a need position?

he's a 6th or 7th rounder, so it wouldn't be a huge investment. but the athleticism is clear. and he's more than willing to make the transition.
