I haven't seen or heard much about Dayne. Any word on other teams looking at him? Miami is needing an RB and I thought they had some interest in him last year before signing with the Texans.
Death to Google Ads! Texans Talk Tip Jar! 🍺😎👍
Thanks for your support!
hahaha aww man that made me laugh for like 3 minutes straitwhere is Dayne heading you ask?
Hopefully to Jenny Craig.
I heard some rumblings not too long ago about the Eagles expressing interest in Dayne. That may still be a possibility after they struck out with Dillon not too long ago. I personally would like to see him back for short yardage situations ONLY. I hope they don't forget about Taylor though.Does anybody know if the TEXANS are interested in him? or are we "content" with who we have now?
Put me down as a yes for crazy. Sorry, never met a question I would not answer and I also happen to be a devoted ambiguous yes man.How about heading to fullback for the Texans, or is that crazy?
Big bad Dayne needs to be a texan....imo he's one of the few that 'deserves' to be a texan (i view that as a compliment...others may not.)lolMan rushes for 612 yards in only 6 starts, averages 4.1 yards a carry (4.8 in the month of December when he was finally healthy) and leads us to a 3-2 record over the last 5 games (could have potentially been a a 4-1 record but our defense couldn't figure out how to contain Vince Young) and this is what he gets. Fat jokes.
The man should be our starting RB next season.
I don't think it would be a bad idea in certain situations. How about heading to fullback for the Texans, or is that crazy?
Two good runners in the same backfield for a running team? I guess it doesn't fit the philosophy or scheme. Crazy.Put me down as a yes for crazy. Sorry, never met a question I would not answer and I also happen to be a devoted ambiguous yes man.
In a simplistic sense it does not. Anyone can run, but it is those that block and run that are successful. Two good runners in the same backfield for a running team? I guess it doesn't fit the philosophy or scheme. Crazy.
If you put Taylor at RB and Dayne at FB in a goal line situation, you could really throw some defenses off. Why? Because most defenses are going to look at that and think Dayne's getting the ball because he's more of a pile pusher. Or vice versa, you like Dayne at RB and Taylor at FB. Run Taylor on a wheel route, fake it to Dayne, roll Sage out right and Taylor's wide open in the middle of the end zone.In a simplistic sense it does not. I completely agree with you. I'm on the Dayne Trayne...Man rushes for 612 yards in only 6 starts, averages 4.1 yards a carry (4.8 in the month of December when he was finally healthy) and leads us to a 3-2 record over the last 5 games (could have potentially been a a 4-1 record but our defense couldn't figure out how to contain Vince Young) and this is what he gets. You must remember Dayne was injured (turf toe) the first half of the season and your O line was far from stellar~vs colts 11 attempts 37 yards
vs RSkins 14 attempts 58 yards
vs Phins 22 attempts 58 yards - at least we are consistent
vs Dallas 10 attempts 14 yards
Takes a month off
vs Raiders 18 attempts 95 yards
vs Titans 21 attempts 87 yards
vs Pats 18 attempts 94 yards
vs Colts 32 attempts 153 yards
Four games at the end of the season accounts for 429 yards of his 612. Officially he played in 11 games but only carried the ball in nine.
Not the type of back I am looking for. Sorry. We already had James Allen once. Maybe Dayne should take up rap too.

I wouldn't just let him go, I would try to work a sign and trade IF I wanted to let him go. If we could sign and trade and pick up a draft pick for him, I may consider it. On the other hand, this guy could be our version of Jerome Bettis. Every team needs a bruiser at RB, even if he is only out there on short yardage plays.I heard a rumour (and it is only a rumour) that the Bears were looking to meet with him - back up for Cedric Benson.
Considering how much he damage he makes not even tryingI bet Dayne could lay the wood on someone - if he wanted to.
that's what i think as well...it would keep the defense tired...and the green could come back in well rested...(in theory at least!)IMO dayne would be the perfect compliment back to ahman green...when the defense is tired of chasing green we put in big ole dayne and let him run right up the gut on them...breaking a few while green gets his breather...but if we don't get him back then we have lundy and taylor to help green out...lundy is more of a back-up in my eyes...taylor has potential to become a starter i think...then we have gado...to me he's just confusing
hopefully back here with us to keep pressure on green to perform well..and to push these younger guys to be on the top of their game...because last year lundy didn't impress me at all...and taylor i didn't see enough of to make any conclusions on him...so we need dayne back
