NFL Draft Pick value chart

awesome resource. looks like mid 3rd round to me.

too bad it looks like the Skins are going to try and start a bidding war between us and the Vikings.

The trouble with these Value Charts is that one size does not fit all ,i.e.,
each Draft in terms of its quality and depth is unique but the charts are fixed.
For example, in last years very strong Draft there was probably 9 or 10
blue-chip prospects, but not as many this year.

According to this chart we could move down
from #8 (1400pts)
to New Englands 24 (740pts) and 28 (660pts)

Even Swap :) I would Love that

Yea it's more of a general guidline that teams look at to make sure they arent' doing something absolutely boneheaded...but I'd be willing to bet they don't look at the chart all too often.

It also depends on who's still on the board, who's picking after the pick..etc.

it's all about demand. If Calvin Johnson happend to still be on the board at #7 when Minn. is picking. We'd have to give up a lot more than what the chart says beacuse 1) CJ is the best player in the draft and 2) they are REALLY wanting to select a WR. so them trading down would not be agood idea unless they got a ricky williams type trade.
