Is Carr THAT bad?

This season Carr was above average, statistically, in TD, QB rating and passing yards. Alot of yall keep saying that he doesn't step up when it counts. However it seems that he is better in crunch time than everyone thinks. If you look at his situational stats, he is at his best when it is late and close. I really dont think he is as bad as alot of yall think and I hope he is back next year and ready to go. I don't want to hear about wins. I have already seen in several thread that "it's not about wins and losses, it about performance". I'd say he has performed at least average.

i'm good with that. If we don't get it done next year, then in my opinion, it would be time to let him go

in response to your question, YES.

but actually i am ok with drafting Kolb or someone and grooming him while Carr remains at the helms for another year.

I agree he is at least average & we know you can go to the supper bowl with less. (Chicago) We need to build a dominate defence and strong running game to move to the next level.

yes, carr is THAT bad. dude is absolute garbage at QB. but at least he is a good father and christian. that is all that matters to half the losers around here....

the day we get rid of Carr will be the day that the Texans take their first steps towards respectability....carr can go ____ himself for all I care

There isn't a QB in this league that started all 16 games with 11 or less touchdowns. NOt one.

Michael Vick is the only 16 game starter to throw for less yards than David Carr.

Now this next one is important, so pay attention.

Despite being sacked more often, J.P. Losman had better all around stats.

Again, this is very important, so I'm going to say it again.

Despite being sacked more often, J.P. Losman performed better than David Carr.

So, let me recap.

No QB in '06 who started 16 games threw for 11 touchdowns or less, except David Carr.

Other than Michael Vick(who also had 1000 yards rushing), no QB(who started 16 games) threw for less than 2767 yards.

Mark Bulger, Jon Kitna, J.P. Losman, Michael Vick, & Ben Roethlisberger, were all sacked more times than David Carr, yet produced more yards(Vick Rushing for 1000 included), and more TDs.

Of the QBs that started 16 games, he is at the bottom of the list in all the categories that translate into wins, yards, 1st downs, TDs. & his TD INT ratio was upside down.

but TK, Carr was the #1 pick.....that means he must be good and its everyone elses fault. after all Asserley chose him...he has to be good

everyone on the texans sucks besides Carr. Havent you got the memo? God forbid we hold Carr accountable for 5 years of sub-par football.

/sarcasm off

that little fairy we have at QB needs to get the hell out of our city. his act is really freaking tired. if this was up north he would have been driven out of town like Frankenstein by now...but everyone down here only cares about image and being nice and being a total freaking homer....

well at least things have changed over the past year or so and now the majority of fans are finally waking up and smelling the festering pile of manure at QB

GET RID OF CARR - HE SUCKS

nobody said anything about his religion or about him being a good father. If your just calling people names then your garbage and THE loser. don't hate on me or anyone else because we don't agree with what you say.

TK, where you been hiding at? Posters are 'spewing' that BS that Tenn played only their scrubs against Sage in that first game....again...

did I call you a loser? didnt think so. it sure didn't take you long to directly call someone else a loser when they didnt agree with you though. as for calling Carr a loser, he IS a loser. it is a statistical fact of which you can not argue. my comment that he is garbage at playing the QB position is merely my opinion and one that I am entitled to, mind you.

at least the powers that be on this message board took Carr off the banner. too bad they arent running the FO or owning the team. we may actually get some competent football played around here if that was the case. Next thing will be to surgically remove Dom off the banner once and for all. The guy is soft as Charmin after he got his big ill-timed contract from Asserley.

thanks webmaster, thanks that I dont have to see that loser Carr on the banner everytime I log on to this board....maybe one day the Carr homers will be gone too

Let me guess the 2-83yd TD passes that D-ROB's boys gave Losman on the 2 first plays of the game against us didn't help his stats..All I'm saying it easy to be a critic and we need alot more than a QB. Lets build a solid team first and if DC is still not cutting it all we have to do is put in another QB in behind a solid O-line and solid running game and a solid defense.

Did I say you called me a loser? You said that have the people around here are losers. You absolutly are entitled to have your opinion and I don't dispute that. I don't have a problem with you or anyone else saying that he isn't good or that he out right sucks, thats your opinion. I'm just saying that you don't have to call people names if they don't agree with you. I didn't call you a loser or garbage because you disagree with me.

This discussion is exciting and covers a lot of new ground, but .....
