I don't see them awarding the Super Bowl to Miami two out of three years, and I've heard that the NFL was not impressed with Atlanta the two years they had the Super Bowl there. I figure our only challenge would be Tampa who hosted Super Bowl XXXV.

And it is interesting to see that they will have had at least 8 Super Bowls without one bieng in New Orleans.

(Dec. 9, 2004) -- At a league meeting in Atlanta on Dec. 8, the NFL's Super Bowl Committee recommended four cities as finalists for Super Bowl XLIII in February of 2009.
The finalists are Atlanta, Houston, Miami and Tampa Bay. One of those four cities will be named as the host at a meeting of league owners in May 2005.
For the first time, this year's game will be played at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Over the next three years, the Super Bowl will take place in Detroit (2006 -- Super Bowl XL), Miami (2007 -- Super Bowl XLI) and Arizona (2008 -- Super Bowl XLII).

They'll save a lot of trees when the Saints move to L.A.
Since their games will be played in a stadium that's three quarters empty fewer people will need paper bags to cover their faces than in New Orleans.
And I like the name Saints too. Let them keep it unless of course New Orleans has an issue with it and can find a way to hang onto the name ala Cleveland and the Browns. If not then it fits L.A. perfectly. Right now they've got the Lakers, Clippers, and Dodgers out there and every one of those names came from somewhere else without being changed once the team arrived in L.A. so keeping "Saints" fits. It just seems natural.
I think any connection between the name and the city's "hispanic catholic origins" though is a bad thing. It actually might make the Saints look like they belong there which is something that none of the other teams have to worry about.

Could be as well possible as the pressure by the NFL on the City council. I follow Atlanta quite closely and the NFC South, and i can't imagine them disrupting the NFC South and bringing the Saints to L.A.
But if money talks, even saints walk.

For a winter event, we are better than Atlanta weather wise. I lived and worked there for a year, and while I certainly liked Atlanta, they have ice storms in the winter like N.Texas does and it can get cold in Atlanta. The SB

South Beach), but I think they are already scheduled to have a SB between now and then. I don't know much about Tampa, but hear it is really nice.
Houston is coming on as a very appealing convention city which, amoung
other things, is kinda what a SB is similar in the sense of what attributes
the host city needs . The new hotel downtown, which is attached to the convention center is a big plus for us and a reason we are now taking future convention business away from Dallas. And of course, with Continental Airlines at Bush and Southwest at Hobby, we have tremendous air service throughout the country and internationaly.

LA Rams or the LA Raiders. HA HA! Sorry I had to let that out. I think it would be cool to have a SB in Houston again. Hopfully this time the people who are making the half time entertainment won't find anyone wanting to expose themselves. Well there's plenty of time to think about it.
