freeney tagged

He's one dimensional and when he's run at he gets tired and then becomes a less effective pass rusher.

No doubt he's one of the better defensive ends but unless they're playing with the lead he cant just go full force pass rush which leads to gaudy sack numbers making people think he's more valuable than he is.

If i was the Colts i would of franchised June.

Yeah, no surprise. I am not too disappointed because I didn't really want SF to sign an overrated player like Freeney. Plus, when asked about the possibility of him hitting the market Nolan didn't seem to enthusiastic about going after him.

However I would be disappointed if Baltimore resigns Adalius Thomas. That's who I want.

You'll get mixed opinions on Freeney but I tend to trust the people that play against him, and according to them, he is one of the best DE in the NFL right now. I certainly didn't want him to be tagged by the Colts.

Well, here's to hoping Spencer makes a healthy recovery.

No surprise on this.

And I would say he is a great DE for a team that is pretty sure to be playing from ahead and the Colts fit that bill.

Yes he's a good pass rusher and makes alot of good linemen look bad but look at him this season.

Alot of his flaws were exposed that he's pretty one dimensional when losing and only does his damage when the lead is in hand.

Not saying he isnt good but he isnt all that he's hyped up to be.

Like many players that are counted as a success, he ended up in the perfect situation for his skill set (props to Bill Polian). A speed rusher playing indoors for a team with a great offense that puts points on the board and forces teams to pass.

yeah he wasnt that great against the run, but that was before they decided to tell the DE's to play contain on first and second down. before, they were told to rush up the field for the QB. that is a big reason for the playoff success..

True i agree with that assessment but the teams they played also had alot to do with it.

They never really played a potent offensive team that could slug it out with them the closest was the Pats and they were one Caldwell drop away from beating them.

The tag was put in place not only for the team's protection, but for the player's.

Freeney works for the Super Bowl Champ's scheme. They know their system, their players and the market better than 31 other teams at the moment.
