PS: LT and LJ both outrushed McFadden ,and in the NFL.

Both outscored McFadden, and in the NFL.

Both had more receiving yards, and in the NFL.
 
Exactly, How can you take a sophmore in college over possibly the greatest runningback that ever lived...

that's not really saying anything honestly b/c LT and LJ were both the FEATURED backs on their team where with McFadden he splits time with (can't think of the kids name) who also has 1st round potential. Another Brown/Williams situation though not that great.

To be fair, the pros player 4 more regular season games than college athletes do. But yes it's kind of an odd statement to say you'll take a running back who's only a sophmore over some good or great RB's that are in the pros right now. I think MT was being sarcastic...

McFadden is not going to be as good as LT or Reggie Bush...Maybe LJ...

Not Pac 10 defenses like Reggie Bush. SEC defenses better prepare running backs for the NFL, see Joseph Addai.
 
Yeah you're right obviously Reggie Bush slicing threw those fierce Pac 10 defenses is more impressive than McFadden slicing threw SEC defenses. Since Pac 10 defenses are on par with the SEC and all.
 
good job putting words in my mouth. mcfadden > bush. it has nothing to do with the fact that mcfadden faced superior defenses, it's just that mcfadden is a better runner.

Look at a guy like Tiki Barber ...

He was considered an undersized scat back...

But with a little time he learned how to be a good between the tackles runner.

Watching Bush this year he struggled some initially, but he showed signs towards the end of the year of slowing down and reading his blocks.

I said it a while ago, and I'll say it again....Reggie Bush is going to be a top 5 offensive talent in this leauge.
 
There is no doubt that McFadden is an excellent propect, but you guys are already crowning his a**. Let him at least make it to the NFL first...
