Steve Baylark

A Fine Back You May Not Know Much About....yet...
Steve is a great character-type who is one of only a very small group of college running backs to ever rush for over 1000 yards in four-straight seasons while in college. He came just a few yards short of breaking Marcel Shipp's UMass career rushing yardage total, but set many other records while playing for the Minutemen. Steve trimmed down to get even faster for the 2006 season, and he put up by far the best numbers of his career in '06--338 carries for 2,023 yards and 15 TDs (a 6.0 ypc!)--while leading UMass to the IAA national championship game. His career totals of 5,395 rushing yards, 713 receiving yards and 47 total career TDs are a testament to his toughness, durability and work ethic. Despite all of these accomplishments, he was snubbed by the NFL Combine, and will have to be seen at the UMass pro day. If he can run in the low-mid 4.5s there, he can be drafted, as he has no other real weaknesses other than a lack of blazing speed. Steve has nice NFL size at 5'11", 220-225, and good hands. He is a winner and a team player who will do whatever it takes to help a team win.

If I've never heard of him then I dont want him in the 4th.

He looks like he should be picked about where Lundy was.
