Fill in as many positions as you want. There should only be a starter and a back up listed. If someone has listed a player that you don't agree with you may replace that player when you make your list, but you must give a reason for switching out players. I went with a 3-4 defense because I figured that there would be more good LB's than DT's. When you make your list just copy and paste the last post and try to keep it going. I'll start....

Don't need a second team. These guys were some of the toughest to ever play.

Just because your from Californa does'nt make the Raiders the greatest .

Off the top of my head ... the best gaurd I have seen was John Hannah of the Patriots .

Kellen Winslow was the best pass catching TE . Mark Bavaro the best blocking TE .

The best center might have been Dwight Stephenson but a career ending knee injury let him play only seven years .

I think Derek Thomas may be in there somewhere . He got seven sacks in one game and it was'nt against the Texans .

My team (smashmouth & 3-4 defense, no finesse allowed) ...

Quarterback - Bret Favre
Runningback - Earl Campbell
Fullback - Larry Czonka
Tight End - Kellen Winslow
Wide Receiver - Jerry Rice, Hines Ward
Left Tackle - Charles Spencer ... feel free to think i'm crazy, i'm sticking with spencer becoming a great
Left Guard - Mike Munchak
Center - Jim Otto
Right Guard - Bruce Matthews
Right Tackle - Forrest Gregg

Defensive End - Reggie White, "Deacon" Jones
Defensive Tackle - "Mean" Joe Greene
Outside Linebacker - Lawrence Taylor, Ray Nitschke
Inside Linebacker - Jack Lambert, Mike Singletary
Cornerback - Mel Renfro, Dick "Night Train" Lane
Free Safety - Ronnie Lott
Strong Safety - John Lynch

Kicker - Adam Vinatieri
Punter - Ray Guy

Coach - Bill Cowher

edit: i picked a broncos S, but the wrong one for my style of team ... fixed.

Seven on the all time team .

As Hanibal Lechtner says ... things you covet you see often . Your obviously from Northern California .

Hmmm. Good Idea!!!

Wishbone O - 4-3 D

QB - Sammy Baugh - Redskins QB
FB - Earl
HB - Eric Dickerson - The first real Indianapolis Colt
WB - Doak Walker - Old school Lions utility man
WR - Don Maynard - Jets Super Bowl III
WR - Raymond Berry - vintage Baltimore Colts
LT - Forest Gregg - Golden Era Packers
LG - Gene Upshaw - Raiders
C - E.J. Holub - Golden Era Chiefs
RG - Bud McFadin - Rams, Early Oilers ( just passed away this year )
RT - Tex Coulter - 50's Giants ( vs Browns )

DE - Harvey Martin - Doomsday D
DT - Bill Glass - NFL 60's Browns, team preacher
DT - Bob Lilly - Early Cowherder
DE - Joe Greene - Coke head Steelers
LB - Bulldog Turner - Bears War Era
LB - Mike Singletary - Bears
LB - E.J. Holub - AFL Chiefs two way in two Super Bowls
CB - Darrell Green - 83 Draft
SS - Ken Houston - Bud Adams can DIE ( 1-18 Peterson is still one of the worst NFL coaches ever )
FS - Bobby Dillon - Golden Era Packers
CB - Dick Lane - born in dumpster to "Best Cornerback I've ever seen"-Lombardi

No kicker or punters, we go for it, 2, and onsides everytime.

QB: John Elway / Joe Montana
RB: Barry Sanders / Terrell Davis in his prime
FB: Lorenzo Neal
WR:Jerry Rice
WR: Cris Carter
TE:Shannon Sharpe
LT:Orlando Pace
LG: Gene Upshaw?
C:Bruce Mathews
RG: Art Shell?
RT: Anthony Munoz

DE: Reggie White / Derrick Thomas from the 90's
DT: Howie Long ? He'd be Versatile enough
OLB: Lawrence Taylor
MLB: Dick Butkus
MLB: Chuck Bednarik
OLB: Ken Norton Jr he'd also be versatile enough
CB: Deion Sanders,
CB: Lester hayes / Darrell green straight speed or Head hunter ?
SS: Steve Atwater extremely versatile
FS: Ronnie Lott extremely versatile

Kicker: Any one of those andersen/anderson's
Punter: Reggie Roby

Coach:
Chuck Knoll / Don Shula / Sam Wyche .............. anyone of those would do for me.

WE AIN'T LOSING NOTHING :shades:

I find it funny that not a single person has mentioned the NFL's all-time rushing leader.

I wouldn't.

I watched Sanders. He was great.

I watched Smith. He was great. He wasn't as flashy, but he was just as good, if not better.

He is good, but Emmitt had the talent around him. He had an excellent o-line plus a HOF QB and WR. Barry played in Detroit...he had nothing. Defenses basically kept 8 guys on the box the whole game. Barry earned his yards...

Dont get me wrong though, you dont become the NFLs all time leading rusher without having talent...

Barry> Emmit all day evry day. Barry on those cowboy teams would have been sick.
