Our Schedules look pretty tough. I hope we continue to get a lot better because I know the other teams are. 2009 is when I thought we'd be making the playoffs..that looks like the toughest year. all those teams are getting better. San Fran, Buff, Arizona will be real tough in a few years.

We really need to be dominating the AFC South to get to the playoffs.

Yeah thats a b!tch of a schedule. Should be interesting to see what this team is made of over the next few years.

Schedules look tough in the future, but teams change. I bet every team that saw Carolina on their schedule this year was expecting a challenge. Instead, they weren't very good.

YES YES YES i can finally see the TEXANS PLAY A GAME.......in 08 when they come to green bay.......yes....is it 08 yet?

2007

HOME
Denver
Kansas City
New Orleans
Tampa Bay
AFC East = Miami
AWAY
Oakland
San Diego

AFC North = Cleveland
Plus home & away vs. AFC South

Only 5 games against '06 playoff teams? I don't think this schedule looks so tough.

Our 2007 schedule will be pretty tough, we play one of two NFC divisions that is legitimately talented (we played the other this year) and we get to play the AFC West that is arguably the toughest division in the NFL (Raiders shouldn't be much of a head-turner yet but the other three are tough).

Bottom line it's the NFL and it will be a pretty tough schedule for any team in any year, especially in the AFC. I'm really looking forward to the 2008 season. By then we shouldn't have as much dead cap so we should have some good money to spend, we'll have gone thru three drafts with Kubiak in charge so our roster should be in much better shape and definitely taking the form of what our coaching staff wants, plus we'll get to play the NFC North, hopefully they'll still have three weak teams in that division.

Unless of course we decide to part ways with:
Carr
Greenwood
DW
Wiegart
Payne

well we need to get our run D up and running good cuz it looks like we'll have to play Adrian Peterson and Cleveland next year.

ya being from wiscosnin i want favre to retire...esp by then...you know...i think he is holding the team hostage in a way...they will be good while he is there get the team to gel and then poof....he is gone and they start over with a new qb....wow how nice????o well....maybe ill see you there then 08....would it be better to sit behind texans and cheer or sit behind green bay and boo?:stirpot:

o ya first jersey i ever bought was dre...still got it...haha...maybe ill wear the meco "the engineer" jersey...plus my g/f is getting the mario WILLIAMS jersey

True, if they move any or all of them. Weigert wouldn't cost a ton to dump ($2.5 million total) divided up however they want between the '07 and '08 caps if they release him after June 1. Payne's contract only runs thru 2008, so moving him this year or next would only cost us a maximum of $1.125 million against the 2008 cap (that's if we cut him after June 1 this year). Carr's contract also runs thru 2008, so the most he could cost us on the 2008 cap if we move him would be $2 million (again, if we cut him after June 1 this year). Domanick and Greenwood would all be more expensive, but not too terribly drastic. Adding them up they could handicap us a bit, but not the like the estimates $5 million each that Walker, Wade, and Robaire are costing us this year.

We had better be better in 07 because Im buying tickets to see us at San Diego. I know it might be wishful thinking, but I'm going to be expecting a win.

I suppose its a good thing I have Direct TV cause here in AUS-DAL Tenn-TX I wont see any Texans games on local channels with schedules like that unless we get some good draft picks.

Our schedules get stronger but so should the team. I am confident because 1. Kubes and coaching staff 2. Another good draft & a F/A or two will be a huge plus. 3. I am a glass is half full person
