Trade Thoughts

This is a completely crazy notion that will never happen, but it is something for discussion this time of year.

We trade Carr to Oakland in exchange for switching draft positions in rounds 1-3 and a sixth rounder. In other words, we move from 8-10 to the 1st pick in rounds 1-3, plus pick up an extra 6th rounder.

Al Davis is just crazy enought to do it, especially with a Fresno State boy.

If McNair is worth a 3rd, Carr is worth a 5-6
I still think Carr is not the main problem, he does have a plus side, I just have not figured it out yet ! I say let's try and lure a certain QB from the Irish and see what we get !

And maybe it might seem like a dumb idea, keep Carr on the team, until Colt McCoy is ready to make it to the NFL. I like what I have seen from this kid so far.

I like our draft position.. should be good talent there.

All of my crazy offseason ideas involve getting Freeney from the Colts.

How about Carr is not even worth a draft pick... The reality of the situation is that another team takes him off your hands and gives him a chance with the exception you agree to pay some of his salary. Any team that would give up a middle round pick would have to be crazy.

Would you do it if you were the Raiders?

So we trade Carr, take his cap hit, and then pay a #1 overall pick? Where is the money coming from?

How about you don't know what you are talking about?

Any chance that we could trade David Carr for Robert Gallery? Trade a disappointing first pick in the draft for a disappointing 2nd pick in the (2004) draft? We get a young left tackle, and Oakland gets a QB (since Aaron Brooks and Andrew Walter are horrible)....thoughts???

You have no one worth trading except Ryans or Johnson- though your owner is dumb enough to trade them

Exactly; forget GM of the Year, he would be GM of the decade.

Or like an English company a few decades ago, sand to the Suadis'for their water purifacation plants.

Well it's pie in the sky season. Don't know about Carr...but Babbins might have some value . Cowboys weren't very happy with Carpenter. Lot of 3-4 teams always looking for tweeners.

You are right...that is a completely crazy notion. The 1st overall selection is worth about 2 of our 1sts (8th overall) alone. I don't think you would find a team crazy enough to draft Carr with the 8th overall selection, but that is basically what you are asking the Raiders to do.

Quinn is not as good as Carr was.

I think Quinn pretty much summed up what he is last night in the Sugar.

Overrated. He won't be playing Army, Navy or Air Force in the NFL. Charlie Weiss is smoking crack if he thinks in two years Brady Quinn will be quote, "one of the three best quarterbacks in the NFL". Please.:tease:

Quinn looked well......average at best. Cost himself several million dollars with his performance last night I think.

we would only hjave to wait 2 years, as Mack will have him bleiving the hype and thinking he can be an NFL God (you know like he did Vince):joker:
