With Krenzel down, the Bears are expected to gauge interest from Jeff George, who could be added with a roster spot created Friday, when left guard Ruben Brown was placed on injured reserve with a neck injury. Hutchinson will be the fourth starter this season, and George could be the fifth option as general manager Jerry Angelo realizes he must exhaust all possibilities after Thursday's embarrassment.

Didn't he throw 5 or 6 INT's in a game against the Oilers? I think he did, and after every one the crowd would go "whoop there it is."
 
Jeff George? Is he still trying to find a place to play football? I figured he'd be running a car dealership in his hometown by now. Maybe while they're talking to Jeff they can go dig up Billy Joe Tolliver or something.
 
Perhaps we could get a nice draft chaice for one of our backup QBs?????? Chicago should be drafting fairly high and it is later in the season, so maybe it's worth the risk.
 
I'd trade Ragone for exactly what we gave for him in a heartbeat. Of course he's far from ready to help anyone so it's not like anyone's going to come asking about him. Tony Banks could help them but then what would that leave us with if Carr went down?
