Texans finish 3-3 in division..

After all the frustration of last year and this year's draft controversy, the Texans finished 3-3 in the division. Not bad for a divison with the colts, Jags and the improving Titans. I'm not sure if the Texans have ever had a wining record in the AFC South but this is a good step in turning the franchise around. If we can just improve our passing game, and also our pass defense, this team can really turn some heads in the future. We're going to have to improve our OL, QB, and Secondary. But everybody knows that already.

There is a shift occuring. The AFC South will be a strong division next year and with us having a snapshot of success in the division it makes for a mental blueprint of what this team can achieve and consequently improve upon. :texflag:

Actually the season we went 7-9 we had a 4-2 record in the afc south, both sweeping the titans and jags. but yes i agree with your post i feel the was the first step to take was beating them colts.

Good post from a fellow Valleyite. :ok:

Getting to the playoffs and maybe beyond starts with winning in your own
division. We play those guys every year. Twice.
So IMO this is a very meaningful and hopeful statistic that's been lost on most of us up to this thread.
And we could have swept the Titans, but they swept us. Both of those games were very close.
But the big deal of course was beating Peyton and buddies.
BTW, Peyton is not a graceful loser. I remember in past games when Manning ran the score up on the way to setting stat records and another win, he would shake every Texans hand at the end of the game.
But when he lost Sunday, he stormed off the field without congratulating a single Houston player that I know of. And we deserved congratulations. The win was no fluke.
