I'm a young buck, but I think this is THE game that all the oilers fans keep talking about. You know, the embarassment. Bills, Oilers, 1992. I get to relive the shame that was Houston Football more than 10 years ago.

yes it is. the game I'LL NEVER EVER FORGET. game still makes me emotional. i still watch it like they can win and heart breaks knowing they won't.

Prettiest first half performance by the Oilers ever. They were smoking hot on O. Warren hitting Drew and the guys in stride for 40 and 45 yard BOMBS. Then a guy named Talley on defense and Reich on offense got sort of busy.

I remember it well...I went out when we had a nice 28-0 lead to play some ball. When I came home and saw Buffalo had pulled out the win I was in shock. With the final 7min and the replays I still couldn't belive that the Oilers let that game go.:thumbdown

One of the most memorable days of my life. As painful as it is to watch, I can't help but be sucked in by the siren song of "Moon to Jeffires."

Have you ever seen a more perfect half of football? The Oilers offense was unstoppable.

I'm hoping they show the Beebe out-of-bound reception and the pass interference that wasn't called in OT that resulted in a Moon interception and the winning field goal.

I tune off when that game is talked about on tv. It's easier to pretend it did'nt happen if I don't watch it.

Same thing for the last second alley-oop by NC State that beat UH for the National Championship. I refuse to watch the replay.

I have to watch. That game meant everything to me. I was a huuuuuge Oilers fan growing up and all my college buddies were, too. There was a large group of us convening every Sunday to watch the games, and that Sunday was the biggest of them all. I had a large Oilers flag that I'd had autographed by many of the players during training camp at Trinity University. That flag was proudly waved from the porch of our house in Austin by a bunch of drunken Oilers crazies celebrating in the street at halftime.

Oh, the horror to come.....

Our pain is the same my friend. I have forgotten many things, but never those two days and where I was when they happened.

BTW, GREAT avatar.

We were listening to the game on the way back from a hunting trip and everyone in the truck was pumped up at halftime and figured the win was a done deal. I'll never forget saying, "Don't get too excited yet, this is still the Oilers we're talkin' about.......

I literally threw up after that game. I didn't eat any bad food and I wasn't drunk. I was sick to my stomach.

The painful thing about being a Houston sports fan, the Rockets being the sole exception (and I'm not a big NBA fan) , is how close we have been to the promised land so many times.

I really thought the Astros were going to find a way to win that World Series two years ago.

I KNEW the Oilers were going to the Super Bowl at halftime that day. It was snatched away from us by the boys in stripes and some just incredible luck on the Bills' part. What are the odds of covering three onside kicks in one game?

There were some bull**** calls in that game, in favor of the Bills though. There was this one reciever who stepped completely out of bounds and came back in and caught the ball (for a touchdown I believe). It hurts even me to see it on ESPN.

That was Don Bebe who took three steps out of bounds before coming back on to the field for one of their td passes.
