Brett Favre?

So here's an option for everyone to ponder.

Please keep an open mind here, as I'm NOT saying to get this guy for anything more than he is-- however it goes with some thought.

A lot of people think that Brett Favre's days in Green Bay may be numbered but whispers are he wants to play another two years and get the records.

So what do you guys think? He could be the perfect mentor for a young kid to learn around and could be the leader of this otherwise young team, while someone like Kolb or Smith learns the system. Also, he could break some of those passing records that are just slightly eluding him, as a Texan.

For those who are ridiculing this thought, please note how much improved Baltimore's overall offense has looked with McNair leading the ship (or how they've looked since Billick took over).

So what are your thoughts?

I doubt he'd come here, just because of the Oline problems. I don't think he would want to get hit as much as he would here....but maybe i'm wrong.

I think he'd be a great mentor for any young QB. Plus the guy is pretty durable compared to a guy like Steve McNair. Probably wouldn't have to worry about putting the rookie in if he got hurt, because the man is invincible basically.

I think it would be good for the Texans....if they could aford it, but I just don't think it would hapen. There are other teams he could go to and maybe even win.

First off, Farve didn't even want to mentor Aaron Rogers at Green Bay, why would he come over to houston who has a worse record than GB to mentor a rookie QB. I doubt we will be getting a QB in the first or second round, unless we pick up some more picks.

Secondly, the Texans don't have the Ravens defense or running game, so comparing Farve coming to houston to McNair going to Baltimore is just absurd.

Third, if Farve really wanted to break any records I doubt the Texans would be the team to help him get them. He would more likely go to a more established team with some chance of protecting him and actually winning next year.

just a thought.

Why would he go from a bad team to a very bad team. He wants to win a Super Bowl. That's what he wants. He can break all those records in Green Bay. He would go to a team like the Redskins or bears. Where they have talent but not a very good QB. And Brett Favre in A texans Helmet. That would look ridicuolus. Like when Hakeem went to the Raptors. Just didn't look right.

I like Jason Campbell, and after his bomb to Santana Moss, I'm sure the Native-American-Complexion-Skins like him too.

i'm trying to think why in the world why favre would go to HOUSTON of all teams, and i can't think of any reason.

y ai live in wisconsin and tehre i zero percent chance of him laving green bay to play ANYWHERE else.....he WILL RETIRE IN GREEN BAY but not thi year he will stay for at LEAST ONE MORE YEAR maybe more.......especially if they get lucky and make the playoffs..

Brett Favre would never come to Houston. Besides that, he's been a great QB, but I wouldn't want him to mentor any rookie QB. He's spent his entire carreer taking chances that most QBs shouldn't, let alone rookies. Nothing against him as a player, but we shouldn't want him any more than he should want us, which is NOT AT ALL.
