We didn't have a fifth rounder last year. I believe that fifth rounder was the only one traded for Moulds. 1st Mario, 2nd Demeco, 3rd ?, 4th Daniels, 5th Moulds, 6th Lundy, 7th Anderson. Who was 3rd, I seem to have forgotten, but I am nearly sure we did not have a 5th last year, and I think we only traded one pick for him.

Wow, of course, I'm an *****. I was wondering if our third was even contributing this year. I keep forgetting that the only time people talk about the OL is when it isn't working. Winston seems to be on the right track at RT, and hopefully Spencer can make a full and healthy recovery. He was doing something right over there on the left side.
 
I'm not real fond of us using our top pick on Joe Thomas, and I doubt he even falls to us with the Raiders and Cardinals currently in front of us in the draft order. Irons would be a decent pickup in the 2nd if available, but I'm getting on the Adrian Peterson boat which would mean we'd go a different direction in the 2nd round. I'm also not real fond of Drew Stanton and I don't know if he falls that far. I don't know much about the rest of the picks.
 
I would go for AP ... after that I think you determine the strength of the draft . I think Long and Baker two good OLT prospects are staying in school or that could hurt the overall depth at LT .
 
I like Joe early, but I doubt we are going to be early enough to get him.

I don't really like how Iron's game translates right now. He runs hard but doesn't stand out in any aspect. He is solid but he's not going to be a "good" back IMO.

Stanton won't drop to the 3rd, and if he does, I don't draft him. I don't care for his game at all and we think Carr makes bad choices?

I don't even care about the rest this early in the year.
 
what happens if Russell declares & rises into a top 5 pick pushing Thomas into Texans range? does anyone seriously think the Texans would draft a OT that high & address a need thats been holding David Franchise Carr back these past 5 years :pigfly:

I think the Cardinals are the primary team that would be looking at Joe Thomas, and Jamarcus Russell is of no interest to them so that wouldn't drop Thomas to us, unless of course the Cardinals end up with a lower draft pick than us (they are currently #4 and we are #5). I don't see two QBs going in the top 5 in this draft anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if only two went in the whole 1st round.

I don't know about David...but I'm about tired of seeing our the QB getting Pummeled. After Sunday, even Kubes has got to have DC down as a lost cause.
So what's the beerlover line ? How many more QBs we gotta waiste befor they pull the trigger on one ? Steve Young couldn't play behind this group.


Nice mock. Might as well slide the Baylor punter into the fifth and make everyone happy. Like the the Wake forest guy...slotted right there with the U of H guy but with better knees. Which means, how did someone put it on the other thread....we don't have to choke on Leron's dangler to come up with a free saftey prospect.
