Best game of the year for D/Are we back to moral victories ?

After the blowouts in Denver & Indy, the effort by the D has got to be gratifying. There was lots and lots of positive things from the defense units
effort last night. Forget about A.Glenn losing a step with age, he was All World last night - best game I've ever seen him play. Seth Payne had a very strong game. Others also had steller performances.

yeah D did do good kept brett farve to only 16 points,,,i always liked or D coordinaotr its the OC we need to work on !!! And that was also a nice int for D. Robinson and some good open field tackling also ! Babin didnt look to good NO PRESSURE at all, Jay Foreman let a brett farve pass go straight through his hands could of been an INT !!! But the O play calling is all that blowed, yes our D gave us many chances to win the game !

Good point about Glenn. A "turn back the clock" performance.

Other than the TD pass on him, I thought Robinson had an outstanding game. He's reminding me of a Ronde Barber with more speed. Like Barber, he breaks well on the ball and is an excellent tackler. But, he has trouble with WRs who give him double moves. That's why the Bucs give help over the top to Barber so often.

I'd also like to mention how well the Texans played the run and forced the Pack into a one dimensional offense. Just another reason why it was so disappointing to lose this game.

maybe we shoulda not made them one dimensional ,considering we all know how good farve is at driving down the field in the final minutes of a game !

I still would have liked to have seen Andre get the ball more, rather then only use him as a last resort. Not utilizing him like they should would be like McNabb not utilizing TO, or Culpepper not utilizing Moss....Such wasted talent out there because they are determined to become a running team whos defense can't create enough holes for DD to even get past 2 yds, if hes lucky not to lose 2 yds when he's thrown back...LOL.....

the O-Line is making D.D look bad,,,if he were in denver he'd be among the rushing leaders, cause they have a good o-line !!! they can make a bad RB look good,,or make a good one (D.D) look bad.

Exactly my point....Davis is good but we can't create holes for him so WE make him look bad...lol...Why not use the talent we do have and concentrate more on passing....We've all seen Andre catch the ball around 3 defenders so i think they should give him more chances then they have been...It can't be any worse they being so predictable running the ball that same way EVERYYYY time....

haha yeah why use what works ?????????? i think our coaches just try to out think the opponents coaches that they confuse theirselves. We better work on the O-line and D-line in free agency and the next draft. It will be a long sad Capers Era in Houston !

I noticed the Packers rolled a Safety high and rolled their coverage to him like teams do in cover 2 schemes (Jams the line and brings lb's up to cut off the short slants also). When this happens Carr rarely forces the ball to him. Most of that is Carr's choice but most of the fans blame Palmer for this.

Glenn had a great game. Last week if you look at the threads we had a ton of people spewing their ingorant take that he can no longer play. Gotta luv them knee-jerkers.

I personally want us to get a TE (if he isn't helping with blocking) involved and give the defense something else to think about.
carrs completions last night
6 to aj
6 to DD
1 to alexander

Absolutely. And therefor isn't it logical for them to really try to get Bennie Joppru in some games now that he's off PUP and see if he can help us ? We
all know that this has always been missing from our offense: a TE big and strong enough to contribute to run blocking yet also have good enough hands to consistantly catch the ball, a composite of Miller and Breuner - that's Bennie and yet he is still young. If he's not our guy, then we should make it a priority in the 2005 college draft. But I think an "all purpose" TE has always been an important missing component from our offense.
