Frank Gore and the 49ers

hot pickle

Canada Eh
for the past 5-6 weeks ive been watchin the 49ers on sunday ticket, after the texans games, and wow frank gore is becomin one of my favorites this guy has heart and keeps on goin, and the 49ers are becomin a real good team, and i never though that alex smith would ever play as good as he his, thought he was major bust, but the 49ers are becomin a real good team and should be in the playoffs next season, as well as the texans

go texans

good luck 49ers

I really like what Mike Nolan is doing to this team. Tonight was a good win and Frank Gore is SENSATIONAL and Alex Smith played great in the 2nd half. Defense and special teams played good as well.

BTW guys Moran Norris has done a fantastic job here. :)

If anyone isn't aware, earlier this year the 49ers signed Norris to a 3-year extension. I posted a thread about it at the time.

I watched some of the game last night....

Alex Smith looks like he's gonna be pretty good....That one play where he shook off the blitzer and rolled out to throw that T.D pass was pretty awesome....

I dunno, but isn't Gore a real comeback story ?
I'm thinkin he had maybe multiple season ending knee injuries in college at Miami ? That right ?
But you gotta feel good for the guy and his remarkable perseverance.

I think he was originally ahead of McGahee, and Portis before his injuries...

gore was heralded coming out of high school as the most talented runner miami ever recruited. he averaged 9 yards a carry in relief of clinton portis as a freshman and blew his knee out in the spring, opening the door for willis mcgahee. he never got the chance to star in that offense, as the year after dorsey and company left, the team just got worse and worse, especially on offensive line, and the coaching overall was terrible. he blew his knee out again, but even now he looks like what people thought about him coming out of high school.

I dunno, but that's a big statement. Covers a lot of ground, a lot of really talented RBs.
But looks like the 49ers got him in the 3rd round back in '04. What a steal !

I'm a fan of Alex Smith. In his second year, he has shown more flashes of greatness than Carr. Granted, Smith's rookie year was tremendously worse than Carr's. His game last night is what David Carr should strive to be.

yeah yeah shutup. we know, or we knew, what he was capable of. question is whether or not kubiak knew it as well. no, i guess jameel cook was the better option...i mean...ill give cook one thing, and that is he a better pass catcher (all for dumptruck carr). at least we have vonta leech! :)
