The Texans Will Play the Titans Again

I know for those of us who do not worship Vince Young as some kind of local war hero :rolleyes:, it seems like the worst of times.

However, take heart in the following things.

We recognize Wince for what he is, the quarterback of our hated rivals, the Tennessee Titans. This makes him an enemy to all Texan fans at least twice a year.(if is doesn't, you as a supposed Texan fan, have your rootin' priorities in the wrong place)

Also, it is good that we will see them twice a year, every year. Wince will not have a stellar performance every time the Texans play them. He will beat the Texans occasionally, and the Texans will whip up on him occasionally. Hopefully, the Texans will put things in place to flat out make him look foolish twice a year. It can be done.

It is just silly to announce the sky has fallen at this point. Payback will be real sweet for the Texans during upcoming contests.

I will admit that it is nice to have a serious intra-division rivalry brewing. While I have enjoyed the matchups with the Jags, the Texan/Titan games are going to be something special.

Are you willing to define stellar performance? I've got even money that Vince has a Vince-Like Performance or what opponets call "stellar" everytime he plays Boob McNair's team.

He was the best college player and he didn't get the Heisman - USC paid the price. Boob & Company didn't draft him and as he said, "That's ok, but I won't forget." Now the Texans have and will pay the price - twice a year.

"Don't Mess With Texas or Vince!"

The Titans will be in the playoffs next year and we will be stressing patience because it takes time.

AJ, I for one respect your views. How about a "view" of what you would do if GM? Include draft and free agency this off season. Should be an interesting read. Also, I'd like your opinion of Kolb of UH.

A lot of people still view Vince Young as a Longhorn, not as a Titan. Did you see all the burnt orange jerseys at the game? It has not yet registered with these people that Vince is no longer wearing a white helmet with a Bevo impression on the side.
Tom Brady does not look into the stands at Foxboro and see alma mater's jersey in the stands with his number. He sees people with Patriots jerseys on with his number. In other words, fans of him and the Patriots, not fans of his alma mater. Same for Michael Vick. Same for Peyton Manning. He doesn't look up in the stands and see the Volunteers' orange and white. He sees Colts' blue and white.
People need to realize that if they want to root for Vince Young, then they also have to root for Bud Adams and the Tennessee Traitors. And that is a low I will never stoop to.

I'm not wishing injury on a person, but I think VY will really get blasted one day if he continues to scramble like he's doing now. These LB's and BB's are pretty quick and like to hit hard.

If he does get injured (knee, leg), then he is turned into a one dimensional qb and the whole league will have their way with him.

Just my :twocents:

The number 1 rule on defending VY is keep your feet ! Demeco jumped on the pump and VY was off to the races maybe next year the coaching staff can stress over and over the importance of staying on your feet to defend VY!

Titans = 13-3
Texans = 11-5 in 2007

AFC Championship game @ TEN...

Houston, led by Heisman winner, Troy Smith, outshines Vince Young, leading the Texans to a 24-10 win over the Titans to send the Texans to Super Bowl XLII. Smith hit 9 different receivers, passed for 330 yards, and rushed for a TD late in the 4th to seal the Texans' 7th straight win.

(lmao, thats pretty cool isn't it?) Not that I wanna get rid of Carr, it's just something I made up.

Texans will end up drafting a punter in the first round and then go down in flames again next year. Troy Smith will end up at Jacksonville and come to your place and perform another beatdown.

Uh...the Texans weren't all that great against the Titans (2-6) before this season.

The Texans WILL get better. When is what I don't have an answer for.
