What is the problem with Carr, seriously.

NEGATIVE 5 YARDS PASSING!!!! Thats just embarrasing to me, to him that has to be worse. I know we won but thats just outrageous -5 yards passing..............the whole game!

I gotta know what ya'll think.
 
Sacks count against the passing yards. Miserable performance by Carr and the offensive line.

I think the problem is with the OLine, get real man....we have NO protection upfront
 
The Texans had a scoring drive of 3 plays, minus 4 yards today. It was one of those days. Think it sux to be us? Try being a Raidah fan right about now.
 
I understand clearly but come on ................not even a positive yard passing!?

I never heard or seen a NFL game at negative yardage at passing and actually WINNING, thats ludacris.:marionaner:
 
carr and the line are both problems, and we have all seen it, carr getting time but he just stands there and then tries to run it up the middle, they both need to by replaced
 
Today I think it was more the offensive line's fault and not Carr's. He had no time to throw the ball today and the Raiders do have the #1 pass defense in the NFL. Carr wasn't very good (he had fumbleitis again) but his O-line let him down. But we won! It wasn't pretty, but I'll take the W.

Even though we won, Kubiak has to be embarrassed as an offensive-minded coach.

The problem is Carr and the o-line. That was pathetic today.

And what do you think that will cost when it looks like they will dump Vick? As a RFA they will do the top offer and that will cost 2, count them 2 first round picks AND a boatload of cash. Let Carr play out his string next year with a Rookie QB in training. Reduces the cap hit and might light a fire under Carr. Then in 08 trade Carr and play the new guy.
 
Injuries have killed our line....Winston was abused many times....It's the pressure that stopped us from passing.

No offence, but it should be pretty obvious to anyone with a brain what the problem is.

Just my opinion but I think Kubiak was pissed at Carr. I noticed after he lost that fumble for a touchdown, he stopped calling passing plays, all they did was run. I bet if Sage wasn't hurt he would have put him in for Carr. So instead of benching him and putting in Van Pelt, he just ran the ball.

Defense (especially Demeco Ryans) and special teams. Ron Dayne ran hard today too.

We won 24-6 in 2002 with 46 total offensive yards. It can be done.

We had one defensive touchdown and an offensive TD that was really a special teams touchdown. And three field goals thanks to our defense.

Our defense was good and Oakland's offense was horrible. Without those two components, we couldn't have won.
 
we outdid Rex Grossman's win is what we did ;)

and I didn't think it could get worse than Rex's stats

got sacked for 10 yards so that gave the team 24 yards passing LOL

With David Carr's leadership and "it" factor today. The team rose to the occasion b/c of his intangibles.

The Raiders had 5 turnovers. We returned a fumble for a TD. They missed 3 FGs (from 53, 37, and 29). Jerome Mathis returned a kick for a TD. And Ron Dayne basically put the offense on his back the entire 2nd half and put us in range to kick field goals.
 
While sitting on my sofa watching the game today, I had more passing yards than Carr. btw, I had 0 passing yards today.

yea but dude Rex had 34 YARDS PASSING Carr had oh wait yea I almost forgot -5!!! No comparison what so ever.:confused:
 
The Texans had 46 yards in penalties. Carr passed for 32 yards but was sacked for 37 yards in losses.

If you're going to post then be sensible. So Carr had a bad game, but get real. "Quintin Porter"... yeah sure.

this really scares me though, this week there was a thread of a rumor that AJ was not happy in houston, and i dunno if he cares about stats or if he just wants to win, but i hope we can re-construct his contract with in the next couple years, and lock him in for years to come
 
carr never makes defenses pay for blitzing because he keeps dumping off to tailbacks rather than throw to recievers to loosen up the defense. defenses can keep blitzing until carr can prove that he can make them pay for doing it, which he hasnt done.

Didn't take me long to put 'em together either. :)

Listen, I'm a Carr fan, but it's hard to not get frustrated when we see the same thing week after week. It's always a pick here and there, a fumble here and there. It's a cycle that continuously repeats itself. Notice that he'll have an up week, and then a down week or two. Sad really, cause Carr's a class act that deserves to succeed.
 
Every QB in football is better then Carr this week. Even QB's that didn't play had more yards then Carr.

I undestand that Carr had what, like 37 yards but got sack to equal to -5 yards passing................thats still unexcusable.
