The Lowest of Lows

This is by far the worst that I've felt about the Texans in 5 years. I fully understand that it's a new coaching staff and a turned over roster and that this is a "rebuilding" year. The problem is that I see the same problems week after week and this team continues to look like an expansion team after 5 years in the NFL.

For the first time ever I am not looking forward to watching a game and am almost fearing it. I just can't imagine sitting through another loss like last weekend, especially to a team like Oakland Raiders. And considering that this team has never won on the Left Coast it's inevitable that it's going to happen again today.

You look around the league and see teams like New Orleans, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, etc. which had teams that were considerably worse than Houston a few years ago and are now considerably better. I'm constantly amazed by the mistakes on the field and in the front office to make this organization the laughing stock of the NFL. I'm tired of being embarrassed to be a Texans fan and throwing thousands of dollars away every year on a team that is not entertaining and still plays not to lose football games. I'm sick and tired of seeing David Carr get dozens of chances to prove that he can be a good NFL QB and failing week after week. I'm sick, tired and frustrated by the losses rather they're by 1 point or 20.

Last year was bad... very bad... but at least we had the first pick in the draft and Reggie Bush to look forward to which was exciting at the time. This year we have nothing to look forward to in the offseason other than the hope that we might pick up a few decent free agents and have another good draft. I know it will get better but this is the lowest of lows as a fan.

in all fairness it is hard to win when 4/5 of your offensive line has changed from last year

No one can change your mind if that is the way that you feel... so I won't try.

However, I couldn't disagree with your points more. This team is better off than it was last year and anyone that looked at this year as not a rebuilding year didn't set their expectations correctly.

"But kcwilson, every year is a rebuilding year," you say.

The last two years were futility, this year is truly rebuilding with huge roster turnover, coaching turnover, system turnover... if you can't tell, just look at the age of the team now vs last year... Mario, DeMeco, Owen, Lundy, Spencer and Winston all stand a chance to be solid contributors to this teams future.

Last year, you were relying on this year's backups (Babin, Peek, Polk, Breuner and Marcellus Rivers). This team last year had no parts that really fit. This offseason will complete hopefully a full changeover including a new secondary, OLB, and OL depth.

There is no way this team this year is worse. The one item that has not improved at all, the secondary, is the one area where the personnel is virtually the same, and look how bad they are this year. They are the obvious weakness.

Give Kubiak more than 11 games to create a winning record with a new football team.

Well, its just a football game....And I choose to believe that we will have a lot better team after Kubiak has a full offseason to work with. I understand what your sayin though. But hey, just hang in there and the good times will be all the more sweeter.

i know what you mean but look at our roster right now- look at all the injuries and crap we have...with that and in the 1st year under a new HC is it any surprise we're struggling...

im looking forward to next year because this off-season we should improve our weak areas-namely some secondary, o-line and a LB or 2.. if we're as bad next year though i will start to get pissed

The difference between us and those teams are they didnt have darth capers coaching for them the past 3 or so seasons. These teams changed their coaches... in a year or 2 we will be as good or better.

Vince Young leads his team to another win. Reggie Bush scores 4 TD's. Our QB and RB's are a joke. It will be many, many years before this looks like a legitimate NFL franchise.

You`re right Wonger! VY did what Carr has never done before. I can`t wait to see what the Carr fanatics have to say about that.

+1.

I remember Carr gave us the lead against the Colts 2 years ago. Then the Defense failed to keep the lead and Peyton took his team down the field with only 2 minutes and beat us.
