When we can only run for 25 yards a game, the defense loads up to stop the pass. When are you folks from Houston going to understand this? Without a running game, there is nothing that Carr, Manning, Brady, or anyone else for that matter can do. So go on right ahead and continue to blame Carr for everything, but he will win a Superbowl one day and it won't be in Houston...and I will simply look at you and laugh.

the running game sucks because carr keeps the defense compacted with his screens. carr doesnt spread the ball and throw down the field enough to soften up the run defense.

That is simply because you don't need to run the ball when our defense is basically awful against the pass. Why run for 3-4 yards when you can complete 20+ yard passes with out fear.

I don't believe it's all Carr's fault. When we don't have a running game, when our offensive line is still a patchwork (we went from giant holes in the roof to just a few holes in the roof), how is he supposed to make the plays a QB makes. Carr hasn't played well the last few games. But he's not the worst QB in the NFL. We have plenty of holes to fill on this team. Carr ain't one of them.

Maybe if you can't throw it down the field, particularly down the deep middle part of the field, you can't run the football?
The Texans had an excellent running game against Buffalo and still lost. The offense didn't score a single point in the second half and in the fourth quarter got only one 1st down and 41 yards. A team isn't going to close out game like that if it is close in the 4th quarter.
We can argue about if it's Carr's fault, but the fact is, in about 4 1/2 years, he has only won about 15 or so games. Manning and Brady might not have been able to make to the playoffs in a Texans uniform the last 4 1/2 years, but I seriously doubt Carr in a Colts or Patriots uniform automatically means a Super Bowl run. Comparing Carr to Manning or Brady in a anyway shape or form as it relates to the NFL is really laughable!
If you don't have a good running game, you should at least average 3 ypc against a basic front 7. We average about 1? Our running game is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I guess the 3-4 really gives us problems, cause our Oline just isn't quick enough to get up to the next level to block these linebackers. Our run game was pathetic against Dallas as well.
But it's hard to ignore VY's performance, in which he didn't have a running game today either. Surely with a 21 lead in the half, the Giants would have been playing a cover-2 scheme as well.

VY was the running game,as was Mike Vick for Atlanta well , hell he leads the entire NFL in rushing this week. I seriously doubt that is where we want to go,Carr is the 5th in rushing among active NFL QB's.

Manning would be successful here,however,with the amount of protection he would have I don't think he could go deep often. That being said he would blow a fuse at the lack of pass protection,he would openly criticize his O-line after 1 maybe 2 sacks and none would want to play for him.

In previous years I would agree with you, but Carr has been given time to go down feild and the pressure he has to deal with is because he doesn't make the defense pay for bringing the blitz.....Make no mistake Manning would destroy teams whether he's playing for Houston or the Colts...unlike his brother....he's that good.

I'll take that bet actually. Manning isn't nearly as accurate as Carr. And there isn't any other aspect of his game that is significantly better than Carr's. Manning has got everything. Oline, TE, recievers, RBs. I think a lot of QBs would outplay Manning with what he has though, so it's not a huge compliment to Carr.
