Another 2 Steps Back

The history of this team is that it takes one step forward one week and two steps back the next. You can change out the coaches and players but that is a constant with this organization. At this point, I don't believe that anything can be done to change it.

Do you mean something like "winning isn't in this city's culture"?

History does have a tendency to repeat itself.

Time will heal all wounds as well. This is a significant loss, especially going into a tough game on the road against the Jets.

Plain and simple, our secondary is terrible. The loss falls squarely on their shoulders. No speed, bad angles taken by the safeties, and none of them are playmakers except Robinson, who can't do it all by himself.

Jameel Cook is now on the docket for two costly fumbles in two weeks. I love his play making ability, but it is about time to start swapping out FB's if this is a sign of things to come.

The Texans have showed glimpses of turning the corner, and it will just take time to continue the transition. There is a lot of time left this year to make big strides, including beating the Colts, which could be the biggest momentum changer of all time.

And that will continue until we get a coach who understands how to call a game and knows time management, and/or a QB who can play well in the clutch. So we might be waiting a while. Pull up a chair and wait a decade or two. :gun:

I think its ironic that the days I start the Texans D they give up over 400 yards (who da thunk 2 83 yd touchdowns?) I'll do the Texans organization a favor and release our defense ....

The next great step is to learn to put these games that we are winning AWAY, in the win column. The composure the team had today was very much evident, but you could tell that when it came down to the end, they were still struggling with it and it showed.

It's a vast improvement over earlier in the season when we were getting
blown out of games. Still a very frustrating loss since it was "so winnable".
But anything but 2 steps back. More like running in place.
