If the injury to Wiegert was season-ending.....then I believe we no longer have any Jags players (active) we adopted at the beginning of this franchise.

How many guys do we have (active) who were a part of the expansion draft, or were picked up via free agency before/during our first season?

Payne is the last tie to the expansion draft. I dont know about FA, but 5 years later, that is terrible.

Wiegert signed as a FA after the '02 season. Salaam & Maddox are also ex-Jags.
 
Wigert did open up the 2003 season with us. You're right.


WR Jermaine Lewis was an expansion draft selection

Wasn't he a Jags player? Or was he with the Ravens?

Maybe he came from the Ravens and then to us, and then went to the Jags?
