I had a feeling this would happen, if we couldnt beat you all with Byron... We have the worst coach in the league trying to run our offense. This has got to be a nice consolation in a transition season for you guys. Enjoy...:shades:

You guys fought hard - you had all those turnovers and it was still a close thing.

Thanks, and good luck with the rest of the season. Smells like change might be coming to Jacksonville, QB's, coach... interesting to see what will happen! :)

I would like to add that DeMeco Ryans is the man. You all scored big time drafting that cat. His near sack is what caused the first INT.

Thanks Jags...the turnaround is in full swing. I can see in the near future, LOTS of youngsters everywhere, wearing Mario Williams and Demeco Ryans jerseys. Those dudes are two 'Bad Hombres'.:ok:

Seeing DeMeco all over the place and dominating week in and week out pisses me off that we didn't take him at the end of the first round. Clint Ingram has been a nice find and played tell today too, but drafting Marcedes Lewis to take our passing game to the next level sure is pointless when you don't involve him in the offense at all.

Either way, with Mario, DeMeco, and Dunta, your D is definitely a unit on the rise.

Jags fans showing a lot of class. Thanks for the kind words.

To you Jags fans, I cannot for the life of me figure out your team. I mean You roll the Jets and Titans with ease, but for some reason the Jags have trouble with the Texans. I cannot figure it out.

I used to think that it was your team lacking an identity, like you didn't know if you wanted to be a running team with Taylor, Greg Jones and recently the Drew kid, or whether you wanted to be a passing team with the receivers you drafted. Take it from a Texans fan, I know about a team frustrating their fans. It must drive you crazy.

Peter King accused our team of being psycho but I can't make heads or tails of your team. I really thought our first victory was a product of you guys just looking past us or taking us for granted. But this was just a hard-fought game. I expected more from Garrard but your receivers were really inconsistent.

Any way, good luck on the rest of the season. See ya next year!

Too bad the head coach wasn't as classy as the fans. Check out the postgame on jaguars.com, Del Rio basically came out and blamed the game on the refs and insinuated that Kubiak made a stupid (game-winning) call on 4th down.

WE are the ones who shoudl be complaining abour the Refs, not Rio!

Guess Kubiak's call wasn't so stupid since we won the game with it, huh? :yahoo:

sour grapes.

Yep, he should watch what he says, a few more games like that he could be needing a coaching job. :tease:

I root for Texas teams
when Texans play Cowboys I hate the Cowboys.. Cowboys against everyone else.. cowboys.

just like college, I am a UT fan first but any Texas colleges are playing out of state colleges, I am for the Texas college.

I figured it would be us 7 or less, although I was worried when the refs were too stupid to change that call after it was shown clearly that Daniels tucked the ball away after the catch (football move), and then took two steps. Ball wasn't knocked loose until the third step. It should have been our fumble out of bounds. All I could think was WTH?
But good teams overcome bad calls, and today we were that good a team. I hope David is okay for next week. Great game all around guys.
Oh, and it was also nice to see a gutsy call on fourth and inches bu Kubiak. All or nothing. This is "no guts, no glory" type playcalling we needed last year. Great game guys!
:texan:

Thank you Jags fan. The good thing is that we don't play each other until next year. So good luck for the rest of the season.

The Cowboys are Oklahoma's team. ;)

The Jags really need to get some receivers in there that can hold on to the ball, and need to focus on the running game. That's their strength. Might want to clue Del Rio in on that.

Congrats, texans. It wasn't pretty. but as usual you did what it took to beat us. No excuses - you swept us and again we're left with saying "see you next year".

I think we found out that we're not a playoff team with this personnel and, hopefully, you have some new confidence that you are headed in the right direction with Kubiak. It looks like a couple more players in the offseason and you guys are back in the hunt.

Congrats again.

Congrats Texans fans, your team was clearly, without a doubt the best team on the field yesterday.

I agree with some of you that I can't figure out our team. One week we look un-beatable, the next week we look worse than the Titans.

I could use the "injury excuse" since we do have several starters either out or not at full strength, but quite frankly, your Texans just out-played us in all 3 phases of the game.

I certainly do hope that Carr is alright, and sorry to see that Zach is out for the season. I hate seeing injuries to either team. Good luck the rest of the season, and until we meet again next season!

That's not exactly true. He stated that it was a "gutsy" call, which it was, and stated that if it had gone the other way it might have been called something else.

He's right. It would've given the Jags the ball deep in Texans territory, trailing by only 3 points, and they had just scored easily on the last drive.

There are people who have studied the situations where teams go for it (or don't) on 4th and short and it has been decided scientifically that the vast majority of football coaches (the "experts") would be much more successfull if they went for it in that situation much more often, BUT IT TAKES GUTS, because failing can basically get you fired. The coaches are wrong most of the time when they DON'T go for it on 4th and short, especially inside the 15 or so yd. line (red-zone). It's just hard not to take the (supposedly) easy 3 pts. when you have all that pressure not to screw up.

All we had to do was get a few inches and the game was over. That's it. If you can't do that, you don't deserve to win anyway. I like the call; but, yes, he'd have been ridiculed severely if they had failed to get those few inches.

I think the key to getting over that stress is to do it more often. The more success you have the less we, as fans, will come down on you (as a coach) when it fails here and there.

The confidence that was injected into the players by going for it on 4th and inches to win is exactly the point I have been trying to make when discussing two minute drills to end the first half.

Sure the players are absolutely giddy since they made the first down, but the coaches confidence would have been felt even if they hadn't made it.

They played to win, and did. Players like that.

That too. :shades:

Hope the WR Rio had running the fake end around is ok.

Guess your coach found a new punishment for WR drops

This intire post make me think of one player Payton Manning how many times have we seen him get MAD at his coaches when thay pull him on a 4th and short for a field goal or a punt. Its about confidence, Manning has the confidence to GO FOR IT every play, thats what I would like to see us have more of. And its plays like yesterdays that is going to give it to our team.

Great Call By THE Coach
