Reggie scores first TD

yep took a double reverse to get him in, but hard for me to be happy for him. I am glad he got it but media makes me hate him.

and yes, we will have to see/hear about it a bunch now.. ESPiN guys just probably **** their pants ..

so I take it Duece was the decoy on that one?

But hey Lundy got another TD!

It was a nice leap .. reminded me of Walter Payton and how high he could get up.. (only in that aspect)

Took a peek at Reggie's TD run.... good speed, nice leap, not too shabby for a play that needs speedy dudes to be successful.

I think Reggie would be best comparable to Dante Hall.

that's just how LT does it, reverses lol. guess the rb position is officially redefined. now if only RB could get his passer rating up.

Reggie should go off, I haven't watched any games, but that other rookie is tearing it up, defenses have to respect him and that should get Reggie some more running/passing area to work with.

That leap into the endzone totally redefined the RB position.

In other news, the Texans scrub 6th rounder scored his second rushing TD today...

ESPN headline: Reggie Bush scores TD off a double reverse.

Back Page: LT scores 4 TDs, which gives him 15 in 5 games, an NFL record.

1st off congrats to reggie and the saints. that was a really pretty play and the leap in the endzone reminded me of the usc plays...hope he didn't break is collar bone like AP though.

But...It will be nice when he finall gets a touchdown lined up as a running back. Special Teams and as a receiver 2 good touchdowns but week 10 and still no TD as a RB?

Each week I have more and more faith in the Front office in what they are doing. Yea our running game is still weak and inconsistent but Reggie would not have helped us in that department. go Wali.

since reggie is such a great back for NO, how bout we trade them dayne for deuce?!

Good for him, you can tell that it was bothering him that he hadn't been to the end zone much this season; I thought it might be a gimmick play like that that would spring him eventually.

I know Reggie has been overhyped but man, the Vick hype was far worse. We lost today, so as far as I am concerned screw his TD....he fumbled once as well. We had three turnovers with one of them coming on a first down catch inside the 30 yard line with 30 seconds to go by Terrence Copper......without the turnovers the Saints would have won by 14 today.

Oh well.....6-3! If you would have told me that record before the season I would have jumped all over that chit......

If any of you watched the game today, I hope you noticed that Reggie has stopped his dancing......he is finally learning......good for us...bad for the rest of the league!

OH, congrats on sweeping the Jaguars!

If the media can make you believe that the thing Reggie has been doing all year was being a "decoy", that makes you weak minded......just sayin'.

I watched the game today he still dances to much, he can't get the tough yards up the middle.

Oh....and if the media can "make" you hate anyone......well that makes you weak minded.....just sayin'.

I hear ya.. we have been hearing about reggie bush (from the Media) since last year.. It has been thrown down out thoat in Texas.

1st it was USC and how RB and ML were the greatest team ever, UT had no chance.. well Vince proved them wrong..

next it was the Texans were wrong for taking Williams and he is the next Sam Bowie and Reggie Bush is the next Jordan.. jury still out on that..

For the league, I hope Williams,Bush and Young tear it up, NFL is entertainment and the NFL needs these players to step up.

just gets frustrating day in and day out

Well, the "weak minded" comment may have been harsh. I know that we have played in the same division as Mike Vick and it does get tiresome. Until this season the Saints had never beaten the Falcons when Vick started. Thank goodness we ended that streak.

If Bush had 900 yards rushing and 500 yards rec. he still wouldn't be living up to the hype. It's not Reggie's or the Saints fans fault that he is overhyped. I just hate to see Saints fans get dogged because of the MEDIA driven hype. Reggie didn't ask for any of it. He has been a quintissential team player. When he gets the fumbleitis under control, he will be dangerous. very dangerous.

that being said, the heart of our team is Drew Brees. If Reggie was injured right now and out for the rest of the season we would be okay......Brees is the only guy that we can't afford to lose. Today, our best CB (fred thomas) and our 2cnd Best Rec. (Joe Horn) was out and we turned the ball over three times to the Steelers none and still only lost by 7! I am very hyped about the potential we have this season!

hahahah......Reggie is a decoy whenever he doesn't get the ball....whether that's the gameplan or not. He is a decoy because with the exception of the Ravens every team we've played keys on him.

He didn't dance a bit today, that tells me you couldn't have watched the game.....most of his runs were to the middle of the defense.....and he had some success getting the "tough" yards. His fumble was the only thing he did today that he needs to work on. His score on the reverse was phenominal and a play that probably only 5-10% of the RB's in the NFL could have scored on. I am very pleased with everything but the fumble....

Bush should be tearing it up 2nd half of the season

Teams are going to have to do something to stop Colston which should open up Reggie underneith.

Lundy's stats: 309 yds/74 carries, 4.2 Avg, 2 TD's, 20+ (3), 1 Fumble

Bush's stats: 207 yds/81 carries, 2.6 Avg, 2 TD's, 20+ (0), 2 Fumbles

:marionaner:

To be fair, we might need to add in:

Lundy: 0 INT 1 Sack
Bush: 1 INT 0 Sack

Still....to be even more fair..

Saints 6-3
Texans 3-6

I mean, Reggie has been a large part of opening up our offense despite his lack of stats that lesser minds tend to use when gauging a players significance. He is a big reason we have the record we have and are looking to win our division and get to the playoffs for the first time since 2000.

Just sayin'.

no, the reason you're 6-3 is because you finally have a competent QB, a good offensive line and a healthy deuce mcallister.

You aren't wrong at all. I said Reggie is ONE of the reasons we have that record. And he is. Unless you've watched all the games then you aren't really qualified to lessen Reggies impact. Have you attended a Saints game this season? Have you been able to see his impact on defenses? Television gives you such a limited view of the action. I am a season ticket holder and Sunday ticket subscriber the past 3 years I've been in Memphis. I haven't missed a snap all season.....

So before you tell me "NO" you should really know what your'e talking about.

git your head out of your bum.....

if Reggie is still playing the way he is now for the next four years, do you think he'll be a Saint in his 5th year??

I seriously doubt it.

If Maroney is playing the way he is, or if Addai is playing the way he is, or even Lundy....... I'd bet they have a better chance of being on the team that drafted them than Reggie.

No you said a large part, and that is completely false. Was he a large part of the win versus Tampa with the -5 yards rushing? Get that facts right, he is a part of the team but not large part of the winning.

Damn wish I could have afforded season tickets at the age of 13 and be able to go to all the games on weekends in a different state, and get back in time to go school on Monday morning.:shades:

Oh....and if the media can "make" you hate anyone......well that makes you weak minded.....just sayin'.

it makes you week minded to go against the national media and millions of *****ic fans who just watch ESPN and take all that crap for fact? I think putting up with all the crap the last few months in regards to Reggie proves how not "weak minded" us Texans fans have to be. And even if the Vick hype was worse, we didnt have to put up with it and get slammed on every single episode of SportsCenter and NFL Live for not taking the Messiah. Also, take away his 15 yards off the reverse and he has 9 carries for 34 yards (he finally broke 3 ypc) as a running back...whoot!

I wish the Texans had a 70 million dollar decoy.
