Dr Z's Sleeper All Pros

I know those things protect the guys teeth, but dang they look like a babies binky to me. Good for Dre and good pic.

Yeah his hands are facing his body like a punt returner not opened up to the ball like they are supposed to. I still think he is one of the best in the league though.
 
Too many guys are catching the ball this way. When they are young, they should be taught to use their hands. That is the proper technique.

If you look at WRs around the league, this technique is all over the place.

The great WRs in the NFL catch the ball with their fingers, not their chest.

I have seen him catch balls like that but more often than not he catches it in his arms or in his chest.

If he can get rid of that habit then he will be the BEST WR in the NFL.
 
Can they really call the leading receiver in the NFL in both catches and yards a "sleeper" pick for the Pro Bowl? Great pic though, he has some crazy jumping ability.

I would like to point out that last week AJ did use his hands and did not let every ball get to his body. Yes I was looking at that, because I made those same statements after AJ let the ball get intercepted on Sage's first pass when Carr was benched. So maybe the coaches saw it and made a suggestion. Of course I find it ironic that the change happened after a Rosenfeld INT, and not after AJ did the same thing for an INT not two weeks prior to that from Carr.

The other pick, I assume you are talking about the Miami one, was not about his hands. He caught it up high and the corner just took it from him. The catch was good, but it wasnt all that secure. But he has had some problems letting the ball get into his body, which is why he is so good at jump balls, he can jump and extend his arms like very few can.
 
This doesn't really involve his All-Pro's picks, but what exactly does Dr. Z do? He predicts about 8 games a week in a column that takes up half the page and he's the one that predicts how every team will do (he predicted Miami to go to the Super Bowl). I do enjoy watching his "Z Says, She Says" every week on SI.com because Brooklyn Decker is amazingly hot, but I think Dr. Z is overrated. Peter King is better.

I guess I would disagree. I actually like Peter King and he actually writes article over football. All Dr. Z seems to do is have his short column and a mailbag once a week. Peter King is more knowledgable in my opinion and I respect his opinion. I don't really care much for Dr. Z though. Just look at his predictions every week. He seems to predict about 3 or 4 upsets. I could do a better job at it.
