What's up Houston?

I'll save the hinted domination sarcasm for later. You all spanked us in Reliant. No denying it, no excuses. The Jags got beat.

But this time around, we are at home. We're currently undefeated at home, and have only allowed one TD since week 1 there. I don't think that it'll stay that way after SUnday, but I don't see the Jags losing this one. After every defeat this season, we've responded (minus Washington game...but our offense was firing on all cylinders that game). I see this one being:

Jags: 28
Texans: 13

That is not a blind homer statement by me, either. We are at home, you all haven't won an away game in ages, and the Jags are most likely pissed off and seeking revenge. Though the Texans do rise up come Jag week, I just don't see them pulling this one out. Yes, we don't know who exactly out QB is right now. But, Philidelphia used that as smack prior to playing them. So did the tacks. David has filled in nicely for Byron, and will most likely get the start this week (and probably from then on...I'm sensing David is our new main QB in Jax).

And if anybody wants to do another sig bet, let me know. But I'm so confident in my team this time around that I'll make the stipulations alot more interesting.

But I definitely have gained a hell of a lot of respect for the texans and their fans over the last year or so. Here's to an INJURY FREE (please lord) game.

Good Luck.

Here's hoping Lefty starts. I'd like the Texans chances better if he did, but I'm sure it will be a good game & the Jags are sure to be favored. The Texans are full of surprises, and I'd love to see them surprise the Jags by earning another W courtesy of Del Rio & Co. this Sunday. I do, however, also wish this to be an injury free game on both sides. Lord knows neither of us need anymore injuries.

Too me, that is bad news for us. I have always thought the Jags were a better team with David as your QB.

Good luck to the Jags and lets have a great game (Texans and Jags always seem too).

We may have lost the last two games but we outplayed both of them.

Be scared... be very scared. The Jags-Texans rivalry thickens next weekend!

Texans - 24
Jags - 17

Mario gets another sack, DeMeco gets his first INT.

Mario gets his first 2 sack game, DeMeco gets his first INT (returns it for a TD) and a sack :shades: .

Fixed!

you and everyone else in the world besides half of jacksonville.

its obvious he manages the game in a better, quicker more efficient way.

hopefully del rio gets one right and plays him for us.

if lefty plays, i honestly feel like you guys are in a good position to win in this one.

I hope he makes the right decision and starts Lefty.

Heck, he may even decide to cook everyone a bowl of fondue, and use another axe as an inspiriation to keep chopping wood.

But hey, I can wish can't I?

Sorry Mr. Jags fan but I think the Texans will beat you at home this year, the Texans always play you guys tuff and with Mario getting better I see him getting two sacks I also see our offense getting more points this week. Sorry to burst your bubble but it see it 21-14 in the Texans favor.:redtowel:

I don't agree that we outplayed the Giants. I think it would take us having had a descent running game to be able to say that, in which case we probably would have won easily. I think we got outplayed a little and got beat a little. But, we did play well against a good team on the road and we definitely outplayed the Titans. I think we're gonna pull another upset in Jax, but it will be much closer this time. We won't win it by 20--it'll be more like 3 and I sure hope our kicker is ready for that kind of game.

Why Peyton in the avatar? If we loose it should be the Jags starter on our avatar's and if they loose they should sport D. Carr. Dunno, just thought I'd point that out.

I like our chances a lot better with Leftwhich playing. For this game, I really feel as if he is the "x-factor". If he starts, our chances of winning go way up, if he doesn't, our chances are less.

Good Luck.

If Garrard starts, I think you guys win by 10 or more, but if Lord Byron goes for you guys it could be just the opposite. Personally, I think you have a better team with Garrard. You still might win with Lefty since you guys are at home, but IMHO, Garrard gives you a much better chance of winning.

Hey, vtech. Right now, I agree with you. David does give us the better shot.

Which is one of the reasons why he has been named starter for the game.

I don't know if you actually think that I'm taking what you just said as gospel, but to think that you are "bursting my bubble" is straight comical. Pure gold! :tv:

Last road game won from the Texans...December 2004 in Alltel...Ouch!!! been a while for the Texans to win one on the road. 5-4 and you guys deserve that...especially after the butt kicking you did in Houston. I will be at this game serving up some CREAM DA BEEF :)...that one for you 84/Filo :)

I liked our chances much better if leftwich was playing. i think the Texans will still come away with the win. i think the guarantee by taylor could do more harm than good especially if the Texans get a lead. the jags may press on offense and this could lead to turnovers on their part:twocents:

Texans 27
jags 21

I'm with ya on that one, dat_boy. If the texans win, I'll throw up D.Carr for a week on both boards; if the Jags win, you put up Reggie Williams (just cause he's funny lookin') for week and stop in at the Jags MB at least once. You'll see I came back here after we lost the last game and gave your team props.

This week: you texans have earned your respect with me already and I'll not make any stupid predictions. I think we'll try to run it down your throat like we did Philly & Indy, but I'll be more interested to see if you load the box whether Garrard can carry the game with his arm. I'm also interested to see if my Jags can string two solid Defense performances in a row. I think both those issues are still question marks for us, despite the record.

Of course, nobody stops Andre when he's healthy, but maybe we can harass your QB into some mistakes.

I'll say 24 -17, Jags win.

Good luck, and for gosh sakes no more injuries to either team. The personal fouls comment was funny - neither team is really a dirty team, but this game seems to inspire the personal fouls in them, no doubt.

You guys have a tough team. Coming into the season, I really thought you guys were going to sweep us so I'm already surprised with the season series. On paper, you guys should win this one. We're not going to surprise you and you should be pissed about the first loss. And if you lose to us, that's going to make it really hard for you guys to make the play-offs. Then again, I think you're the only team we have a winning record against that we've played more than twice.

I think you have a better chance to win with Garrard than with Leftwich even though Garrard is slightly less accurate. I'm hoping that Mario can continue to improve and put some pressure on Garrard and force him into some interceptions; he hasn't thrown any yet and he's due. :)

If we play a good game, I think we can beat you guys. The question is whether we can play 2 good games in a row on the road. This will be a helluva test for us and none of us wants a moral victory in this game. We want an outright win.

Here's to a good game with no injuries.

I know...I posted on it :) Here's to a great game...Of corse...Go JAGS..and the TEXANS MOOOOtini..hahahaa

I'm not trying to flame you or trash talk, but I really don't like your MBs...
I can't really put my finger on it, but just didn't care for it, and it didn't look like it is as active as ours is... I didn't stay too long, so it's possible I overlooked some things...

I have only recently started going to other teams boards, and it makes me happy with what we have here. Now I understand why there are so many fans of other teams around here.

I like the format of the texan MB a lot better. The white background is a lot cleaner look and easier to read. I think the Jags MB is just as active, but I do get tired of reading all the same Leftwich v. Garrard threads all the time. No knock on you texans voicing your opinion for that subject because an outsider's view is always interesting.

I'm surprised most of you think Garrard is better for the team. The impression I got from the national media prior to the last two weeks was that everyone thought our fans were crazy calling for Garrard.

I admit I prefer Byron in there, but there's no denying Garrard has stepped his performance up this year and he is probably better at 100% than Byron is at 90%. I just wonder what happens when a good team loads the box to stop our running game and Garrard's scrambles - can he really throw it enough to win? We'll finally find out in the last half of this year.

The national media doesn't follow your team as closely as an AFC South rival would. We know that Garrard is better for your team. And don't get me wrong, I still think Lefty is a good qb...I just think at this point in time Garrard is the best fit for your team.

I can't resist. I have been so good this season, but that is about to end...

Regardless of which tealy QB is suited up and starting...
We're gonna stomp another knot in your butts.
Gonna hand Freddy a big 'ol helping of ST*U!

There. I did it. :tease:
Jag weeks are my favorite. The pot is on the stove, the creme de kitty is being slow cooked so you savor ALL its goodness. Making tons, so if you wanna spout off and call me on this game....

I got a bowl of KITTY CROW STEW reserved for ya, fresh and HOT.
Tabasco on the side, for seasoning.
:ok:

Something tells me I shouldn't post this, but what the heck.

GO TEXANS!!! Open a can of WHOOP ARSE on them Jagss!!:shades:

Because we all dislike the colts. Let's face it we have it all wrong as a rivalry. We spend every season beating the hell out of each other and they just hold on the the division title and watch us do it.

You are feeling feisty! :stirpot:

I hear ya though! :shades:

Whereas I am rooting for the Texans every week, I also see things for what they are. Fred Taylor is running hard. About as ambitious as I've seen him. The Jags will pound the ball early. And it looks as though they may have found a big time QB. Dangerous combination if they do establish the running game in the 1st QTR.

If the Texans play as physical as they did the last time against the Jags and win the turn over ratio, it will be close.

I brought the noise, I took the risk, I had the faith...

SWEEP!!
Line up for your creme de kitty and broom, Jag fans....

O'Cedar makes a Jag fan's life easier!

Goood game, Spicer is a monster and I never like going up against Rasheen, but we played hard and broke the streak. Winable on roadies once again!

Tkyss, you had the faith all year on this series. Kudos to you!

Congrats Houston. Ya'll swept us again. Don't really know what else to say. I'm at lost for words. Good luck for the rest of the season.

No worries, if y'all sweep us next year, you can catch up in the series count.

Just bustin' your chops a bit. You're an OK Jags fan - glad you come around. Good luck the rest of the season and no injuries.
