The worst plays of the day

The lack of balls by the coaching staff before halftime. Plenty of time to get into FG range and Kubiak is wiping his ass with the playbook. Lovely.

Mario's roughing the passer. I was enraged by that call, Eli hardly got touched and fell. Guess Mario doesnt know his own strength which was pretty evident on his bull rushes . . .

your right the trip is much worse than the fumble, not running a two minute drill and a missed crucial field goal... :um:

The missed fg by brown, the fumble by "butterfingers" cook, and the bs call for roughing the passer....no way that is a penalty.

When are we going to get a servicable full back that can catch, block, and open up some holes for our running back???

oh yeah flanagan purposely stepped on Carr. Carr stepped into flanagan's feet nuff said.:shoot:

Flanagan got pushed off the line right off the snap & he stepped on Carr before he could get out of the way.

It was a great play by the DT. He was all over the snap count.

BY FAR the worst play, I.M.O was when Sanders had a Clear, I mean Clear shot to hit their punt returner when he didnt call for a fair catch. He just lightly grabbed him and pulled him to the ground. He needs to make that punt returner pay for not calling for a fair catch!!! Grow a pair and jack someone up!!

I still think the worst play was the blown call on the Giants' kicker fumble. I still don't understand how that wasn't a fumble. Can someone enlighten :lightbulb: me on that! Also, I think the Mario penalty was a blown call too and the Cook fumble was a killer!:brickwall

yeah and Carr purposely throws ints and fumbles on purpose..

give it a rest

Carr's terrible. Kubiak is stupid. McNair only cares about money. Mario is a bust. Reggie Bush is god. VY is the best QB in the history of the game. None of Carr's sacks or rushed plays are ever the fault of the offensive line. The secondary should be able to guard all of the best receivers in the game no matter how long the QB has to scan the field. The DLine should be able to apply pressure and stop all of the best QBs and RBs every single week, every single play. Stanley and Brown should not be prone to occasional human error. (After all, they are distant cousins of Jesus.) The Texans should never lose close games, or any game at all for that matter.

the roughing the passer on Mario was the worst..... that was not roughing the passer, definitely not 15 yards worth....

Cook's fumble wasn't helpful either, but there were plays before that one that should've been made as well.

Then the fumble on the on their kicker...... I don't know why we'd challenge that. Even if they give it to us, we'd have got the ball in the same spot since the refs blew the play dead.

so we just gonna use that sorry excuse the rest of the year? hello no. 1 draft pick.

It is what it is . Is everybody going to gripe if we turn it over ... probably so , you can't win . It was 7-3 last week and the fumble killed us .

If you have to be that cautious ... there's a reason .

i hope you can recognize sarcasm or should I spell it out

Dead ball. My thoguths exactly but I left the room at that point. Did we actually challenge. I thought a I saw him throw the flag, that's why i left. It didn't take long for the refs to rule in favor of NY did it?

The entire post you quoted is sarcasm, and I did recognize yours as such. We all need to calm down. It ain't the end of the world. This is a rebuilding year. That's all any of us should have expected. Texans took a step back last week, but they looked about as good as they have looked all year today. I realize it was a loss, but the Giants will probably be in the NFC championship game this year. Our boys will be much better next year.

He had to wait on the guy to catch the ball, by then his momentum had slowed down and he did the only thing he could do. If the punt would have been five yards longer, then he would have been able to light em up.

How bout when Lundy dropped that perfect pass from Carr on 3rd down on the opening drive. Would have have been a sure fire 1st down. Then the FG gets missed.

IMO, that cost us the ballgame right there.

The worst play was the lack of a 2:00 minute drill with a banged up NYG defense and us coming off our defense's best stand.

This just hit me - it is so obvious that I can't believe no one has thought of it before.

That is our two minute drill!

No, the worst play was Dunta letting a giant dude catch the ball for 6 yards in a crucial 3rd down play.

Yea that was bad. Come on Dunta, lets go bud your better then that.

Best plays..............Turn this into a possative Thread!

1) Carrs leap into the end zone. He jumped 4 yards out. Guy had a heck of a game, even after some of you wise men thought he was done and no good.
2) Glenn Earls Hit! DANG BROTHER! (on Shockey)
3) Shockey catches the ball spins and Ryans stuck his face mask right in Shocks grill, it gave Shockey a headache he came out for a play. 1 or 2 Q I think.
4) Marios sack
5) Marios preasure hitting Eli in the back, I saw speed Quickness and a big FINISH at the end of that hit.:fireball:

After the second sack mario disrupted a pass play knocking the ball out of eli's hand....they ruled it incomplete yet the ball went backwards.....soooooooooo it should have been a lateral that we happened to scoop up yet was called incomplete.....TVO that crap I assure you it was a lateral.

It doesnt matter.

Eli threw it.

We must protect our future star from turning the ball over in any way we possibly can.

Nice u turn there Hulk 75. Props coming your way if I got any in the bank.

Look Kubes spreading out the giants D with five wides. Lundy, 20 rushes for 43 yards. Read between the lines Kubes is doing the best he can with what he's got. The bottom line is he's protecting the patch work o-line and giving the team the best chance to win he can. Richard Smith is doing the same thing. We're one turn over or one good play on offense to winning the game.
The Giants had the personel to execute. We did not. We didn't win the game but we hurt the Giants. They won't be talking much smack about us this week. They're glad we're gone. Favorite play. ....Mine won't come till the end of next April. I'm dying right now. Like watching your little dog getting sqaushed in the street by a car and there's nothing you can do about it.

I admit that I forget the many times David has done things like this. & he deserves more credit & gratitude than I usually afford him.

his dink & dunk style doesn't appeal to me. but it works.... and there is no reason we can't win with this style......

but I will say if this is what he wants to do... if his fans want to compare what he is doing to what Montana did, then he's going to have to move the pocket.

I don't mean the planed role outs and things of that nature, I mean the ad-libing that Elway, Montana, Young, Brady, and Rothlisberger do to create for the rest of the team.

If he wants the protection Manning gets, he's going to have to stretch the field.

well its all part of this offense. i liked his play a little better today overall. he was very decisive when deciding to keep the ball and take off and he stepped up well a few times. ball placment was very good today as well

The roughing the passer call against Mario was a bad call.

The sack on Carr was Flanagan's fault and a good play by the D. Carr does need to work on that, but it was Flanagan and these things will happen sometimes anyway. We can't expect it to never happen. Just needs to stay at a minimum.

The worst looking play, IMO, was the Shockey TD, but, unless I'm getting my LBs mixed up, Orr is a bad coverage guy (really bad) and that was a total mismatch. I just think Orr should've kept holding on andnot let go--take the def. holding penalty instead of giving up the TD. Actually, I wish the RB would've really had the ball. Did you see how quick he was shut down in the backfield?

The actual worst play, IMO, has to be the fumble by Cook. That was the killer and that was inexcusable. Late in game, losing by less than a TD, catch the ball, be ready to get hit, AND DON'T YOU DARE FUMBLE IT!!! This is not a call for benching him or anything like that because I don't know how his play has really been in general, but that fumble was a killer.
