Longhorns vs. Red Raiders

This is a really good game. I hope the Longhorns win this one. I hope the Texans-Titans match is as exciting as this one. :redtowel:

Looked pretty dismal at 21-0 there in the first half. I figured the Horns would make strides to come back. As an Aggie I need and want Texas to lose, but we'll see how it turns out. This ain't over til it's over.

I am starting to believe that we may be in the Top 5 for a long time. No lead is insurmountable for this team to overcome. I was not a McCoy fan at the beginning, but he has a great feel for the game and he is tough.

Take a look at McCoy's stats:

Passing:
21/31, 256 yards, 8.3 AVG, 4 TD's, 1 INT

His Rushing:
10 Attempts for 74 yards, 7.4 yard average, with a long for 33 yards.

If he keeps it up, he could be in the Heisman race before he finishes his college career at Texas.

Yes he could. No he isn't no Vince as everyone like to point out. But so far he has been an extremely good replacement for him. Colt McCoy IS the man on this TEXAS team.

They finnaly opend up the offense for him in the last couple of weeks. When the season started they would only thorw WR screens (ala the 05 Texans) and run the VY zone read play. They finally got an offense for McCoy and he is about to set the UT single season TD record as a freshman!

Well that's two stirkes on my three loss prediction. Still got the Ags the twenty fourth. Gotta chance.

Best UT offensive line ever ? Inquiring minds want to know. It's almost scary to think how good Ulatoski is going to be three years from now. That is one big, quick , powerful humane being. The Selvin Young leap into the end zone, Ulatoski and the tight end cratered the right side. Texas Hiway 74 is now open.

I think Hills has the most upside of anybody on that line... he's not quite as imposing as you'd like a frnachise LT to be, but he's a fantastic athlete. Almost all of those guys are going to be solid NFL starters... Studdard's a good athlete and spits rattlesnake venom, Blalock is a beast, Sendlein's a stud too.

Ulatoski, barring injury, is on the road to the NFL HOF. Book it. Hills will be drafted and make a good swing tackle for somebody.I think he is a superior college tackle. I think he will have trouble with the speed of the NFL though, JMHO. Out of the starters, Studard will be a solid starter RG, in the NFL.

I don't know a heckuvalot about line play... but my impression on Hills is that size/strength, not speed will be his issue in the NFL. Ulatoski certainly has the frame to do it... I'll defer to your wisdom. Didn't see the second half... was he beastin? Studdard looked like he was playing Pop Warner kids on that screen to Finley... reminded me of Billy Madison or something.

Yep they were all beastin tonight. Taking nothing away from the great TT run at the upset. They played great. I already posted the goal line block where they, Ulatoski & the tight end (TE 87 ?) folded up the left side of the TT line in the third quarter (8:26 mark) on the Young dive. The tech left side parted like Moses was back at the red sea.

Studdard will be drafted and start for somebody. He is a powerful man. Hills looks big enough too me to be in the NFL. Hills will be on a roster. Just don't believe that he's quick enough to handle the NFL speed at OLT. As you say he's a bit small for RT. Makes him a tweener prospect guy. He'll make a roster.

Ulatoski has picked up some Austin burrito lard, but I expect the coaches to work that off of him this off season. I believe he'll be the starting OLT next year if he does, Twenty year old kid, he's not worring about the NFL payday yet. He doesn't fully know what he's doing yet and he's blasting people. When he figgures the technique thing out he's going to be awesome. Just such raw tallent, he still dominates people inspite of the inexperence. He's one of my favorites probably have him graded to high. We'll see next year. My book says Highway 74 is now open.
