Where's BJ.

Has anybody seen anything on BJ? I thought he was suppose to be seen after the BYE week. I see nothing on him practicing or anything. I have a feeling that this means its all over and he will never play for the Texans.

I assume he's on the PuP list (couldnt find a list of Texans on PuP . He Isnt on IR) not sure they will make room on the roster for him this season . I expect him to be either 3rd string or practice squad next season . With Banks contract expiring 3rd string wouldnt be a stretch .

yikes, we are talking about the QB...i thought we were talking about joppru at first. symons will probably be put on IR and fight for the backup to carr next season. i dont see us bringin in any QBs. carr > ragone > symons.

now that i have reread Ibar's post, i do believe he is talking about joppru though. so any new information on him and his injury?

Both BJs are on the PUP. They are in the middle of a three week window (that ends November 9) where they are eligible to start practicing with the team. Once they begin practicing, the Texans have 3 weeks to make a roster move on them -- either to the IR for the rest of the season or onto the 53 -- or onto the practice squad if they are eligible. Ramon Walker was in the same situation and he started practicing this week.

The only suspense is if Joppru will start practicing next Wednesday. If he starts practicing, the Texans have three weeks to either activate him or put him on IR for the rest of the year.

I would expect Symons to not begin practicing during this window of opportunity and be moved to IR next week.

Maybe he was referring to Bennie Joppru (B.J.)? I thought that Symons would be IR'd this season.

Casserly just said that both BJs will start practicing next week. They will then have 3 weeks to make a roster decision on them.

If Ragone has to play the Texans are in a world of trouble idonno:

well i dont have anything against him. i think he will make a pretty good back-up. he throws a really good deep ball. the only thing i am worried about is what palmer changed in the way he releases the ball. i dont think that will have a great impact though. am i alone in thinkin he will be a suitable backup?

#2 pick on the draft? I would like him to play. We need a TE that can block and catch AT THE SAME TIME! Breuner and Miller can only do one thing at a time.

Bruener can catch near the goalline though. He was very effective at doing that for the Steelers.

If Joppru ever even takes the field for the Texans, I'll be amazed.

(Just trying to spread my lucky reverse-psychology prediction power over to Bennie. But I really would be surprised if he plays this year.)

Thanks for the comments. Yes, I was referring to the TE BJ. Glad to hear there have been some comments by Casserly. Just how far he will progress or can is an open question. But his talents were many and he could really help us, if he is healthy, in shape, and can play without permanent injury. He has very, very good hands which would be a big asset. I just hate to see someone with his talent not get an opportunity to try to make the team, or for that matter, some team in the NFL due to injury. I hope he gets a shot.
