More AJ Props...NFL's Leading WR

Johnson's big day today will raise his recieving yards to 591. That will put him at #1 after this week! Go AJ!! :yahoo: :redtowel:

I'm happy for him, he works really hard, year in and year out. Now that we have a better offensive system and blocking, he can really start showing off his stuff. He's definitely a top 10 receiver at this point, and if he continues this pace he's gonna start getting alot of recognition both from the media and from opposing defenses game plans. Hopefully Moulds can capitalize when teams start really overloading AJ's side of the field.

Really glad he bounced back after a terrible game last Sunday. One of them was in a lot of traffic (not the TD), a catch he wouldn't have made last week. And the TD catch today was just TO-like. Great game for him.

he going to lead in receptions too after this week. Torry Holt has too many td's though, or we be talking about a triple crown.

Carr doesn't manipulate the safeties like Moulds(maybe, but that's for another thread) or teach AJ how to run better routes and read DBs.

But he does, umm, ya know, throw the ball to him (a lot). Anyway, there are a lot of factors here, better teammates, better system, healthy, etc...lets keep it up and get in the endzone a couple more times.

That TD catch today was a beautiful play. Yes, there was bad coverage by Darius who should have at least knocked it away, but that doesn't change the fact that it was an outstanding catch. Between Carr finally having time to throw and Moulds taking away some of the attention on AJ, I expect he's going to continue to have a huge year.

thats even more impressive because andre played only 6 games so far (bye week). all the other guys right behind him (coles, boldin, williams etc) played 7 games this season. andre = god :redtowel:

Yea has nothing to do with David Carr.

Yeah thas true too.
I just want to make sure Moulds gets props...because it doesnt show it in the boxscore but Moulds really has alot to do with AJ's success. Took him under his wing and stuff....

Yea has nothing to do with David Carr.

"my job was to look off the safety as long as possible". and actually according to carr he expected the CB to be out ahead of AJ, his job was to make it as close to a 1v1 jump ball as possible (which he actually did since the safety was 1/2 a step late). that one goes to carr and AJ. many of AJ's catches can go to moulds, but that TD was on the qb & AJ's incredible size/strength/speed/hands.

moulds will be the beneficiary of this success though and he knows it. you have to put half of the defense on AJ to stop him, and as soon as that happens, moulds starts putting up the 100yd games and becomes carr's go-to guy. that is once moulds figures out that when carr throws the ball that it's going to come out at 200mph nomatter how far away you are.

I can't wait to buy the Pro Bowl jersery. . . I've wanted once since the first and last time he went, but they didn't produce it then.

MAN, that's awesome!!!!! Hoping that this continues, and for us to see other Texans players in the mix. Demeco Ryan for defensive Rookie of the Year!!!!

The receiving is the one beautiful thing that I have seen on the team. All three - Carr, Dre, and Moulds - are necessary gears to a functioning component to the Texans game. The Texans finally have two full-throttle receivers who both must be covered. If the opposing team goes to Johnson, Carr can throw to Eric. If Eric is tied up/Dre is not covered, Dre is the man. I don't want to give any one of the three too much credit - not because credit isn't deserved - but because each part is necessary for the engine to work.

Just from watching some of the sports shows on ESPN and NFL Network, AJ and Carr are getting some props from the media. I heard someone call AJ "The best receiver you've never heard of". I also heard someone mention that Carr is #2 in the AFC right now in passer rating behind only Peyton Manning and that Carr is #1 in the NFL right now in completion percentage as well. Hopefully Lundy is the spark needed to get the running game going and if we can do that we can turn our offense into something dangerous. I really hope AJ makes it to the Pro Bowl this year though.
